This game needs better AFK checks. Specifically in bot matches

While leveling my smurf I had an Aurelion Sol go to golems. Place a pink ward lvl 1 and then sit there and let his passive keep him from afking. I didn't notice this at first as it was bots and I was just farming top champions. Eventually I caught on to what he was doing and aggro'd red buff into him and he executed. After executing he TP'd top and did the same thing to topside golems. I rinse and repeated. He at that point bought a zz'rot and sat in toplane side brush and let the zzrot/passive keep him in combat. It's a bot game so it's not like we needed him. But it's the principle of the matter. Not even sure if there is a system that could stop this as he was clearly semi active enough to move locations when I stopped him.

My proposition to at least somewhat stop this tactic is make passive auto attacking, or aurelions passive NOT keep you in combat IF YOU HAVEN'T BEEN MOVING in the past x seconds. Can even combine them to make multiple criteria. The criteria if set up right would NEVER trigger against someone playing a normal game. Alas though I acknowledge that there may not be a system that stops this as a whole. It's just frustrating to have people take advantage of the system. Even if he didn't impact the game. Against intermediate bots with no smurfs he could just very well ruin the game experience for people or teach them bad LoL etiquette. Set a bad standard. Anyway /end rant

Just report the person for "cheating" after the game and explain what they did. What they did was basically akin to botting the account for ip.

Did that and suggested everyone else do the same. But there is some pretty basic things that can be done to at least make this harder to accomplish.

5 years of league and none of things ever done... maybe some done after hundreds of ruined games and that account had already been sold and generated a profit for the cheater.

They track the player's movement on the map. It's a pretty cut and dry case imo. I don't think that they can proactively do anything with champs like Teemo or Aurelion sol that have passives that help them to afk.

Just for kicks, what are these basic things which you're proposing?

But it's the principle of the matter.

forget about principles when dealing with this community, it will only end up screwing you in the end, trust me

It's only going to get worse. That's the problem with this community. There is no REAL consequences to actions. Take for example WoW back in the day. You still had your grade A assholes. But for the most part everyone kept in line because consequences were real and tangible. For instance before LFG and server merges you had to manually form a group. So if you were a loot ninja and an ass. You were black listed. Good luck getting a group. If you actually cheated. botted ect. Bye bye account. This game feels like it is a little too light handed in it's punishments.

That being said. The reason it's going to get far worse is because people ALREADY didn't care on an alarming level about accounts getting banned. You hear about people having 20+ banned accounts. Well now accounts need half as much xp to get 30. I.E easier to recover from a banned account.

A solution to this? I don't know of one off of the top of my head. But by and large the biggest reason for the toxicity in this community is due to the lack of caring of consequences or the lack of real consequences in the first place.

That's a good point. Personally, they've left these issues alone for so long that communities have been built and flourished around certain nefarious activities. those activities are being seen more and more as normal, while having integrity and honor are being see as who knows, outdated or delusional.

If they all of a sudden went heavy handed on those activities as they did on toxicity, I imagine there would be an unmanageable amount of nerd rage.
