So I've been playing AD Morde lately

And it's halariously Op, partially because the enemy builds Magic Resist while you build up AD, leaving them wonder why you almost 3 shot them.

I'm not even joking. Most of you may think it's really bad, but if you know how to play Morde, try it in a few blind games. Really. Tell me how it goes for you.

DFT mastery

Ad reds AP blues Scaling hp yellows AP Quints

Take exaust and ignite for damage reduction and extra damage to seal in your lane dominance.

AD build is like this: Gunblade, Triforce, Steraks, Edge of Night, Infinity Edge.

You can also use mercurial, maw, duskblade, and ravenous.

Melt towers

One shot people

Play smart if you do it, and max Q and E before w.

With this build your AD ghosts are stupid OP.

"Ad build" yet you use Gunblade which gives AP.. lel.

KnightOfEloHell1 votes

But it still has AD on it.

The point of the AD build is to abuse the AD scalings on Q, E, and R. Since Gunblade gives you the highest powers pike yo your Q than any other item and the build is for early Q cheese, I rush gunblade.

Also, the omnivamp is nice, and the slow is useful.

Yet it's generally an item built for AP users, so if you are trying to "AD Morde" there's better options.

Simply put, it's like this:

I've tried full glass cannon AD Morde and it's bad because he is so slow. So rather, if I'm going for a troll build that still WORKS, Gunblade gives me omnivamp, so I get hp back from spells and the AD I build. Triforce next for CDR, HP, Sheen, and movespeed. Edge of Night for a modest 55 AD and some extra hp, Steraks more hp and AD. This way I have covered my weak spot, being squishy, while having insane burst on my Q and E hits hard too as it scales with AD that most overlook.

BUT BY FAR MY FAVORITE THING OF AN AD HEAVY MORDE IS WHEN I GET AD GHOSYS, LIKE ZED, AN ADC, ECT. Your ghosts scale with 100% bonus AD plus thier AD, so your ghosts get you lots and LOTS of kilks.

Tl;DR: AD Heavy Morde is OP early and mid and gives you broken ghosts.

lol i'm not seeing the logic past steraks. EoN and IE??????

KnightOfEloHell1 votes

Edge of Night has hp now. The 55 AD is huge and the hp adds to Q, E, and damage your ghosts deal.

The lethality is good against towers, and AD morde MELTS towers FAST

Infinity Edge abuses Morde's highest AD scalings in game, and this build, to the point to where I just one shot a MF at 75% hp..WITH MY FIRST Q (Spellblade enhanced from triforce by using E beforehand tho)

KoKoboto1 votes

Lmao but the active is almost entirely useless on someone like Mordekaiser, especially with that build that wants to get into melee range and will eat a lot of spells. Health and AD, FM, SG, TH.

Gambling on 20% crit chance is also bleh. High base AD, DD, BT, RH.

KnightOfEloHell1 votes

Luckily I'm bronze and almost never use actives aside from potions, wards, and smite when I jungle. I look for stats.

KnightOfEloHell1 votes

I AA them a lot, and the crit DOES help. Your crit AA dies as much as your first Q, even more if you proc Spellblade from Triforce.

KoKoboto1 votes

Man what's the point of trying to make a build if you're not even gonna be aware of everything.

KnightOfEloHell1 votes

It's not about not being aware; it's just I rely in the mechanics of my champ. When I'm in a pinch, that moment of looking at my keyboard to press a number takes me away from using my abilities. I'm too slow, so I just focus on positioning, timing abilities and heals, and when to use my summs.

If I have time I'll use the actives. But normally I'm too slow, so I don't use them since I'm bad at it.

I prefer abusing my scalings on my champions kit and focusing on mechanics. Hey, it works for me

Max Q and E before Q? You mean before W? Or you mean max E and then max Q?

KnightOfEloHell1 votes

That's what I meant, thanks, I just fixed it.

So you rush gunblade for healing, and up w when you need it early on for sustain, but you want to focus on maxing Q asap.

When Morde's Q was nerfed awhile back, Riot said it is stronger early and weaker late. Q also has high AD scalings, and Morde has highest base AD in game. E also has AD scalings, and the AD build makes it hurt. So after your Q is maxed, start maxing E before w.

I have carried all the games I've played so far today with just AD Morde, it's acually post-rework levels of broken.

Your ghosts are unstoppable when you get any AD ghost, as it gets bonus damage from your AD. Free triples, literally.

Also, you need to Q all the things, as the AD plus early max makes it CHUNK MASSIVE HP ALL GAME!

I have yet to lose with this.

My first 2 items have been Gunblade+Triforce.

Edge of Night and Steraks are ideal for the high damage and hp, although I will admit I have not been using Steraks so much.

So try this build, in this order: Gunblade, Berserker Greaves, Triforce, Edge of Night, Infinity Edge, and a situational item.

Update:

The AD cheese only works early and mid game. Late game you are too squishy to get your damage off.

I'd have lost my last game, but I sold all my AD items but Gunblade and went the rest full tank and we won. I went full tank at 50 mins.

Primaquarius1 votes

Sooo, even you dont really like your build

KnightOfEloHell1 votes

I do, but it falls off late.

It's a cheese tactic, and since I hard focus towers and cs, it wins me games.

Also, while the enemy builds MR, it makes it almost useless since I've built AD, although I will still throw a Liandries in there if needed.

Sasogwa1 votes

All of your spells damage is magical and even the AD ratio on your Q is transformed into bonus magic damage. So your opponents are actually not so stupid to build magic resist. Your build is very squishy. EON makes no sense as you deal hybrid damage, making lethality weak synergy at best. IE without any crit to back it up is suboptimal at best.

Honestly, it can work in low elo if you get fed... but I don't see it working very well in good elos

KnightOfEloHell1 votes

I do edge of Night for the HP and AD honestly. I know the build makes me squishy, that's why I try to throw some hp in there too.

Gunblade Triforce rush gives me sustain, cdr, and MS. The CDR allows me to abuse my Q, and the MS allows me to stick for AAS when I AM on Cooldowns.

You have to hyper focus towers, and this build isn't good if you need high sustain in lane, or against say teemo, who blinds your AAs.

No reason to worry about being squishy early and mid game if you have mobility to stick and can 2 shot even tanks. Also, get lots of carry ghosts. Since your ghosts scale with AD, they give you free triples.
