AP-Item Buff.

Hey. so im here to discuss the debuff "mortal wounds" or whatever its called. put simply, it reduces any and all effects' healing you's potency's by.. whatever percent. there are 3 items in-game which apply this. Executioners' blade item 3123 , Mortal Reminder item 3033, and the Morellonomicion. item 3165 Now, my problem here is simple. there is a relitively easy-to-get-to item for AD users. the executioners' blade is only 900 gold, and can make or break early game for healers like sona and Soraka. Compared to AD users, AP users have to make a heavy investment into the Morellonomicion, to obtain the ability to apply this buff. where the people like jinx, draven, ashe, etc can get it super early.

My "solution" is this; Take the 'feindish codex' item 3108 item. it is the same price as the executioners' blade, and as such, is a prime and easy example. make this item give the ability to apply mortal wounds for.. lets say 3 seconds, cutting healing by 30%. simple, right? well some would say this needs to give a little to get. soo maybe its base AP up could be reduced by 5 or 10.

what do you all think? ^^ Thx for taking the time to read this.

Due to Morello's health threshold requirement, although it helps, healing reduction is generally the job of ADs. I wouldn't want to lose AP or CDR or anything codex provides now for the niche ability to counter some situations. Also, codex builds into too many staple items. If you buy Calling, you're committed to a single item.

Morello's is often a rush item so even though it's a larger investment, it's a more valuable one. Rushing a mortal reminder or even just a calling takes slots and takes away from meaningful build paths.

I personally play lots of APs and I think Morello's works great for what/when I need it.

Codex build into lots of items that isn't morellos, so then you have all the items it build into getting grievous wounds as well
