Could we admit that Blitz is sort of problematic?

His grab is instant.

Every other "Grab Champ" that has come after him has a very noticeable wind-up time on their hooks in comparison to him - most likely for balance reasons.

Especially Thresh but even Nautilus is much slower with his anchor.

Also have to remember that Blitzcrank's hook is much easier to fuck up.

If Thresh or Nautilus hooks an Amumu, it's usually not a huge deal. If /Blitzcrank/ hooks an Amumu? He'll thank you for the engage.

Blitzcrank's hook is also on an extremely long cooldown, even with maximized CDR, and his W has relatively little power compared to the strengths in other 'hook' kits. Blitzcrank's ultimate also serves, almost entirely, as a nuke, and very little else.

Blitzcrank also has nothing he can do outisde of melee range range other than his Q, where as Thresh can Lantern, Flay, and utilize The Box and his autos.

Nautilus has a hard CC ultimate that is point-and-click, and has his E and a powerful and reliable shield to fall back on. Not to mention, his Q functions as an escape.

He got nerfed, I don't see a problem with him. If his huk gets nerfed he will become totally useless. Unlike Thresh he doesn't have other support utilities.

If Blitz was busted we'd see him more in pro play, no?

Instant is a pretty big word. It's maybe faster than other hooks, but it's nowhere near instant, while he also always faces the direction he is going to grab in.

But really, what's your point? Even if his grab is stronger than others (and i highly doubt that to be honest), it has to be, since the only thing he really does is grab people.

Naut's anchor has retarded hitboxes and I will always love and fear it more than Blitz hook. In my experience, the hook is only really effective against inexperienced or reckless players; it'll pull people from out of position, but otherwise you just need to pay attention to Blitz and the hook can end up dodging itself. Without it, Blitz' one strategy is to 'move forward' and stuns are a pretty good option there.

Thresh's windup can be used to very heavily misdirect and mistell the hook, which can almost be more valuable than an instant swing; Nautilus can use his hook to grab terrain for half cooldown, it pulls him to them and it has a very dodgy hitbox. Blitz' comes from his right side and has a much smaller hitbox than Nautilus, at least (psure Thresh too).

It's not that bad. Spend time focusing on where it can be and dodge it. The more easily zoned the champion, the more exponentially powerful it'll feel.
