this LP gain/loss algorithm is preventing players to aim to get 1st place

I lose nearly twice as much LP as winning(i.e. I get 7lp for getting 4th place and lose 13lp for getting 5th place, I get 37lp for getting 1st place and lost 60 lp for getting 8th place). Since no build can guarantee always getting 1st place, and builds that could potentially get 1st place often face risk of getting eliminated early. Considering the current LP loss/gain system, it would not worth the risk to try for those builds, instead everyone would just go brawlers since brawlers are tanky and no team composition can quickly eliminate brawlers, they tend to last longer in the game. Imo the reason everyone was going brawlers last patch was not bc of brawlers getting too much bonus health, but bc people lose too much lp for getting 8th place, and team with brawlers tend to stay longer in the game. Tuning down brawler's bonus health almost seems like a joke to me. I am in plat1 and when I successfully build a team with nobles or even bladeamsters/imperials, I find no trouble fighting against brawlers. I only find trouble finding my kayle and lose 60lp for not finding him in time. I understand the risk of running these builds, but the consequence(losing 60lp) and the reward(getting 37lp for 1st place, 32lp for 2nd place) is not properly weighted.
