Shen isn't in a bad spot right now, you just need to know how to play him

now hear me out before you downvote! and sorry if i accidentally offend any shen mains out there: I've been playing shen jg alot recently and i found out how to play him to win: you don't play shen to carry, you play shen to help others carry, most of your allies are snowballing champs, i prefer to help top the most, i gank at lvl 3, once top is fed i can focus on other lanes tht need help/farming, by the end of the game, your allies will be fed and it's all because of you.

As a Shen main, making his Q scale off AD instead of AP (I understand its a spirit sword, It scales off AP cause Spoooooooooky), would be a good enough buff. That or some more protective buffs if they want to move him into a hyper defense champ.

Thats because of the AP scaling on Q. Otherwise Triforce would be godtier on Shen (Even though I already build it occasionally.)

While this is true, Shen is a champ that you want to snowball others with or protect them.

There is a limit between being a guardian angel. and being deadweight.

His lane phase is now horrendous, He loses nearly every matchup. Now i know this isn't what you said you pick him for but you would think he would atleast have a good matchup..

Then you have his Q which does absolutely no damage and now with the recent nerf if the enemy team builds a shred of MR boom. You lost near half of your damage The other half is literally autos from a tank.

His E is his gap-closer/getaway/only CC...

Thats not a good thing.

Shen is honestly just dead weight
