@ Riot - Brief Explanation of placements and preseason interaction requested

I was under the impression that ranked games in preseason had little to do with the upcoming season. Last season games played were just "after season games" and NOT placements.

Are these placements my placements for ranked flex Q season 7 or just an exercise in counting to 10?

Also, is there a different placement / ladder process for solo Q once it is released?
