last week and earlier this week i started winning games and doing good on support, but now im just losing OUT OF NOWHERE and im not even doing that bad in my games like wtf, and yes

  • ik i probably should take a break
  • its not my team's fault that we lost, its also has to be mine too and i need to improve more

but like why am i suddenly on a loss streak? Some ppl say its riot matching u with "bad" players so u would lose more on purpose or riot is rigging the system so u would lose for long periods of time and im startign to believe its true cause there's no way ppl can just go on a 6 game loss streak after suddenly doing good.

I mean, you just listed the exact "reasons" people will squawk at you like the parrots they are here. You won't find any other new insights if you ask on the boards.

For me, it's usually because I'm tired and my brain is crapping out, or my computer is overheated or the fps is dropping. dodges tomatoes

I don't think I've ever experienced loss 'streaks' out of nowhere, actually, I'm straight up 50/50 but the very few times I experienced a loss 'streak' it was because of tiredness. what's happening in your support games? not that i'm any good at it, i'm an old returning player and a damn casual playing norms and filling all the time these days.

The old way of support was that if you are playing "just good enough" then you are straight up dependent on your team, you do fine if your team is fine, if your team is not fine you don't do fine. If you are playing really good, you should be able to at least give most bad adcs a chance, and even if your adc craps out, be able to carry the team fight with support items that help the team as a whole/give the team enough of an edge to win the team fight and lead the objectives and stuff (ooooh, old aegis, i loved you so) or depending on your type of support, initiate or stun-target the bad guy and stuff. Buuut maybe you're doing that and Idk how it is now though

With the changes I don't know how it is now, though. Hopefully some experienced in the current gameplay main supp player answers.

On the other hand it's entirely possible you won so hard your hidden eloscorethingwhatever changed and went up and now you're matched with players more senpai so it'll need to settle down a little to find the right spot where you're at 50/50

Game tries it's hardest to enforce a 50/50 win rate. You won too many, now you're experiencing the consequences of winning.

And why exactly is that not possible?

The closer to the summer we get, the worse matchmaking will be. As schools close, the more rampant you'll experience trolls and players who just mess up matchmaking. Best time to climb is usually july when everything evens out, smurfs are in the diamonds, noobs are in bronze by then

It's true. They even admit it.

Sometimes it just happens. I know that feel. You don't do anything different but you just lose one game after another.

The reason why you often get a losing streak after a winning streak is that you win a lot of games in a row (more than usual) maybe because of luck. But the game doesn't know it was luck so it thinks you improved a lot and your hidden MMR rises faster than your real position. So suddenly you play in a higher elo together with better players but also AGAINST better players. And that is why you lose.

Just keep playing. It will end. Maybe make a one day break (but play a normal game before you start ranking again after a break).
