Is tahm kench good yet?

Since he got buffed I started taking him to ranked again and I keep getting teams of people who simply don`t know what does...my teammates even flash passed me when im just outside of range to eat them...yet when im against an ap support like or , I end up surviving laning phase but then they carry group fights while i struggle to save 1 or 2 people who later may or may not flame me for eating them while they are ccd?

Alittle bit of a rant, but ya , what is tahm good for and what does he do to carry games?

He's an interesting champ, I just feel his ult is currently underwhelming (worse ryze ult)/ requires coordination beyond solo queue. They should consider buffing it to be uninterruptible, so it can be used to escape in combat.

He is the most unfun champion to play against said the pros and casters whenever he was meta

"I hit my ashe ult" > "NOPE" "I malz ulted the adc" > "NOPE" "I cc someone, blew my flash, ignited, ulted, anything goes here" > "NOPE"

he just eats and leaves

As someone who plays him consistently, he is in a playable state especially with the changes to his lockouts. The damage buff really doesn't net him much of anything, but he is strong against comps that have to blow a lot of high cooldown, high burst abilities. He struggles greatly however against teams that have multiple threats because he has a fairly long cooldown on his devour. Unless you are a decent top laner and can harass well with tongue lash and get extra passive damage off when the enemy goes in to last hit, he isn't going to be carrying games.

Tahm is more of an anti-snowball who defends against champions who need those kills. His lane pressure is not all that great in a duo lane, especially in the current meta where bot lane can sustain to full in two waves. Your job is to defend against ganks and hard cc from the other laners. He becomes next to useless if the rest of your team is doing poorly and you don't have anyone in particular who you can count on to carry the game.
