Stop making the frostfang timer for taking cs stack

So everytime you kill a minion with a frostfang item, your passive goes on a 12 second timer of being disabled. now heres the thing. if you kill a second minion, it doesnt reset to 12 seconds, it ADDS 12 seconds. So lets say theres a full wave and your adc either dies or recalls. you know how to cs well and take them while under turret, so the gold isnt wasted. 12x6 is 72 seconds. thats over a minute where your gold item is disabled. and its not just the gold from hitting enemies thats disabled, the passive gold generation (2 per 10) is disabled too. ive had my adc die before and there was MORE than a whole wave of minions, and after killing them, recalling, going back to lane, there was still 30 seconds on my gold item being disabled. I know that pro players abuse it, but there has to be a middle ground of not disabled and over a minute of disabled. it just means the oposing support gets their quest done faster than you. relic shield doesnt disable if you kill a creep without a proc. ancient coin doesnt disable when you kill a creep. why not just make it a flat 15 seconds or something, and reset the timer on a creep kill, instead of punishing us who try to make sure gold isnt wasted by continuously adding to a ridiculously long timer.

Timer needs to be there to ensure that solo laners isn't abusing the gold generation. And I've played quite a number of Mage Supports, and I rarely encounter a situation where I accidentally took more than 3 minions.

Eh. I'd like for it to stack to a degree, but up to a cap. Stacking up to 30 seconds would work fairly well for a midpoint between it stacking up a fuckton and discouraging using it on people alongside farming.

The thing is, when you take 6 minions, that's about how much gold you would make without taking them in that time

The whole support income and itemization system is crap and always going to be crap.

The system is always going to faulty because of the fact that the support role is generally supposed to function on less gold than all of the other roles. Because of this, items are set to a price points that fall into that low income budget. These said items have to power budgeted in order to match their low cost. Even then, you still fall into instances where that the cost effectiveness of these items offer them up to be abused by roles that they weren't intended for. Then said items get adjusted by having their power decreased, their cost increased or said item is completely reworked.

We've seen this happen many times. The whole system needs to go the way of the dodo along with the belief that the support role should be reliant on low income. If all roles were made to generally work around the same income, you wouldn't have to worry about things like the starter item being put on some ridiculous cool-down because it might get abused. The Dev's wouldn't have to spend extra time worrying about or fixing items that "might get abused."

You also wouldn't have to create a champions with built-in role increase generation mechanics because they wouldn't require extra cuts to make up for the fact that the role they were designed for is supposed to function on less gold. Which means you wouldn't have to worry about balancing around a possible mechanic that "might get abused."

But I digress...yes the lockout cool-down sucks, but apparently it needs to exist because it "might get abused".....again.

TBH, I would be fine with the passive/poke lockout timer IF it didn't then also fuck over my Sightstone (which is in addition to the fact I can't even use those fucking item traits when my ADC is dead/recalled/running over again). If the game tracked the Gold you could have earned had you not killed a minion and put that into the Sightstone Quest Tracking, it would be fine.

i hate the cooldowns in general. i used to spam shaco jungle, build the item and just bully enemy jungler but the whole strategy was ruined thanks to viktor top.
