Here are some examples as to why Riot has done nothing but fuck their playerbase.

  1. Write that Championship riven is limited edition and claim multiple times that shes never coming back

Re release it after a couple of years because new players begged for it and since you only cater to the beginners and pros, you basically told the old players to fuck off . Claim we "need to learn to share" to hide the fact that you're blatantly going against your own word and scamming us. Give the OGs a tiara and a border no one cares about and call it a day as you rake in money you didnt earn.

  1. Realize people are having a blast collecting new icons for 1500 IP 3 days before they become RP only and stop that completely in order to increase money gain.

  2. Release childish ass emotes for 450 RP that no one gives a flying fuck about in game other than to taunt and annoy others.

  3. Claim you're going to make sure people who have been playing for ages will have a way to spend all their IP on "goodies they will enjoy". Release 1 disgustingly awful warwick skin for 150k (pretty much my entire savings after saving up for 2 years) and some more childish ass icons that only a certain group will enjoy.

  4. Realize you have players that worked their ass off to collect every rune possible over the years and claim you're going to compensate them. Refund them for 1/4th of the price and then release a clusterfuck of runes that keep bugging the hell out.

  5. Stop releasing 975 skins and start spamming out 1350 skins where most of them dont even deserve to be sold for 750 rp to begin with.

  6. Have veterans level the exact same way as beginners even after claiming you "understand how it feels to be on the same boat"

  7. Claim you're working on a solution to trolls for 3 years with no real results and yet yesterday i had 3 games in a row where either the enemy team was getting fucked by their teammate or i was getting trolled and having my time wasted for 30 minutes.

  8. Balance team has done nothing but straight defend and buff marksmen while leaving bruisers in an awful spot for 3 whole seasons and when questioned, they ignore it.

  9. Be Riot Games.

edit: i miss the 1500 ip icons more than anything. was one of the only rewards i ever got from playing this game for so long. too bad thats gone as well.

1 for the second time. Companies want profit, even free to play games. Icons don’t affect gameplay so you’re not missing out much if you chose not to buy them.

  1. Apparently you care since you’re bringing it up. Don’t buy them if you don’t like to. It’s not like they make you do more damage or put you at a disadvantage not having them.

  2. The store is continually updated and just because you don’t like what's available so far doesn't mean you won't like what they come out with later. They have kept their promise of things for older players to get.

  3. Welcome to preseason. Changes happen. You still got your runes you agreed to spend ip on to play with for a long time. They refunded a full refund to people who bought runes recently.

  4. Just because it's not worth more to you doesn't mean it's not worth that much to someone else. Don't like the price, don't buy it. Simple as that.

  5. The leveling system is new and matchmaking revolves around mmr anyway. Level is only to unlock things and I guarantee you'd be more upset if they set you at a higher level, making it harder to unlock things.

  6. They do punish trolls, but there always are some on the internet. It sucks, but it happens. It's not like they can create Troll Trace like they did on South Park to fix the troll problem of the internet.

  7. Bruisers still aren't bad and beat marksmen when they catch them. Try changing your game play style to match the kind of character you're playing.

  8. This one I agree with. Why call themselves Riot Games when they only have one game? That's definitely screwing the players.

You seem to forget that free to play games need other forms of revenue to survive and grow, and League only requires money for cosmetic things that don't matter when in game.
