the club of failed re-worked champions and / or champions that could have been great

Morde: viciously betrayed, possibly the worst champion in the game, after so many fan/main recommendations they put him in the worst spot as a champion and only Morde mains play him in normals, try to even use this champ as any lane, especially ad and see the dodges and bm incoming, really needs a re-work -not only that, LCS has no spot for him, just gimmicky games

urgot: not allowed to be played at full potential, constant nerfs

azir: constantly nerfed and only challenger players can make him useful, LCS dropped azir in their champion pool, that's how much azir sucks

quinn: infamous re-work that noone wanted, still sucks to this day, and constantly nerfed

shen: nerfed to the ground to the point LCS does not use him, he cant be allowed to be in LCS

soraka: constantly nerfed to where only pros can use her

yasuo: top 10 lowest win-rate champions that got nerfed and nobody likes him

skarner: a champ that deserves more... after the juggernaut update he was considered 'too strong' but the real problem were and , i dont want to remember the OP jugg area, but he was unjustifiably dumpstered, needs re-work.

*new member aatrox: betrayed by mini-rework, still weak, top 5 lowest win-rates

Honorable Mentions:

: was dumpstered for the same reasons as Yasuo, but got justice in 7.5 : brutal re-work and was weak, buffed but became OP, and honestly the nerfs she got were justifiable and she's in a good spot right now

Skarner last champion spotlight on him was 5 years ago several reworks ago. good in the jungle but has NOTHING to stay in fights,only stuff to start as his Q hardly does damage

Bring Morde there too.

Also, Quinn didn't suck in the Lethality meta, due to being ranged it meant she could out oneshot a few melee assassins. Also, speed. Although yes, the rework was a pretty big failure... I had an idea, which was to lower base damage and AD scaling of Q, and dump a bigger attack speed buff on W, make sure passive AI marks the target you're autoing if you're autoing a champion, and have R have an extra effect, which could be 1) enemies hit by it take extra damage for a few seconds, or 2) enemies hit by it are slowed, or 3) some other teamfight based effect. Give E a bigger knock back (it would move you forward more too, just right in your auto range)

What this would do is keep Quinn's identity as a splitpusher, with her duelist/shred build and her Q and E, she has plenty of utility to be a good duelist. The damage amp/slow/utility on ult makes her useful in teamfight, because due to short range and mediocre mobility, she's not a reliable source of DPS (and definitely not burst, since I'm nerfing her AD ratio and base damage on Q), as well as the knock back on E so she can peel for her carries. Her duelist/shred build is perfect for taking out the divers and tanks threatening her back line, so she can guard them with damage as well as her blind and knock back.

And she's no longer a ranged Assassin who oneshots you from a million movespeed.

Soraka on the other hand has a 9% Pick rate and 55% win rate.

Getting locked on & being spammed by multiple Qs is not a healthy gameplay.

Quite true since his laning phase is really obnoxious in going against him as a melee champion. Hopefully his mini-rework will work out his problems.

Still quite strong in 1v1, especially as a good counter to Yasuo & Riven. He also has an incoming buff(?) to his ult, making the shield amount scaling with ally's missing %HP.

She's still fine as she is. She just gets overshined by Malzahar/Zyra/MF supports.

Same as Soraka. Just gets overshined by the Graves & Lee Sin picks.

Yeah, his changes in 7.5 (especially his passive) is a very big WTF. He needs some serious changes/hotifx fast.

I'd also like to point out that Morde has gotten pro play the last two weeks by Flyquest.

Also again what are you smoking, Fiora was reworked and was instantly a top pick at worlds that year, which was played on the patch she was reworked on.

3 of the 4 Juggs that got reworked Darius Skarner Mordekaiser were all played at worlds two years ago after the reworks. (The one who wasn't was Garen )

Morde was so dumb strong that they had to nerf him to the ground, and ya he prolly does need a new rework but he does have a pretty cool concept of a melee duo laner.

Skarner was pretty strong but his kit is just overall awful, they just need to give him a huge rework, but before he was nerfed he did get played at worlds.

Most the reworks they do actually do help the champion's overall health, but some were just poorly designed and became to overbearing so they needed nerfs, but the nerfs killed them because like Yas and Azir they simply just can do to much.

Yas is actually in somewhat of a good spot, but I mean he has so much in his Kit its hard to justify giving him QoL buffs. Same as Azir.

Yas has a shield that regens simply by moving, he isn't gated by mana, he has short CDs, his Q is his main damage and it scales on a stat he likes to get (AS). He only needs to get 50% Crit to have 100% Crit from his passive, his ult ignores 50% armor for a set duration after using, he has massive situational mobility inside minion waves and around monsters and a wall that stops everything projectile and ranged AAs.

That's a lot of shit.

Azir actually is still a good champion, but this meta doesn't help him, he needs a frontline, which at low ellos he doesn't get. He's good at shreding tanks and provides excellent backline damage.

Raka needed to be reworked, there was no way around it, she went mid lane and became oppressive, and unkillable. Her rework actually did her support style justice, she is the best healer in the game and she builds tanky so you can't just blow her up.

Luc was the premier ADC since a few months after his inception, he was doing work every season, he's the reason why we now have Lethailty instead of Flat Armor Pen with his (and Miss Fortunes) famous Korean Build last summer. He's also been getting QoL buffs to bring him back.
