Im having a hard time carrying in higher elo (Plat'ish)

I climbed from bronze to Gold II, I think I might make it to plat, most of my ranked games are with ALL plat players so its getting a bit hard.

Bronze and silver, while stressful are usually easy to carry (unless someone is scripting/boosting) on the enemy team because they cant prioritize lanes, farm, objectives, most of the time.

Plat I feel if someone makes 1 or 2 mistakes they just let the enemy team snowball the game. because the enemy is usually mechanically sound, and knows how to push objectives.

Whats the trick to this elo carry

Generally, I just try to be a reliable teammate.

I don't really go for any cheesy ganks, early 1v1 kills or cheesy tower-dives in most games, Unless I know I can get them, I just see them as an unnecessary risk.

I focus on farming well enough that I will always be relevant since that is the safest way to grow strong without falling behind. I'll go for kills, ganks and counter-jungling if I think it's a good opportunity, but if I don't see any I'll just try to farm up.

Even if you don't kill your opponent multiple times, you can still build an advantage in gold and experience for later in the game.

Aside from that, I'd say proper rotations are probably the most important thing. You have to watch the map and know where you are the most needed and where you would be the most beneficial.

So I do all that when I pick jg, most of the time.

I am never the person to dive either because while a kill seems like a big juicy amount of gold, dying under tower could just set me back. And honestly half a jungle clear gives you roughly the same gold, plus experience, and buffs.

Im usually counter jungling, and warding, but Im starting to feel this is an elo where it is not " your fault". In bronze and silver and maybe gold they say youre in that elo because its your fault. And I can agree 99% of the time it might be your fault, even if youre not feeding, and you are warding, you maybe ganked a lane that has no outcome and is hopeless. (Yesterday I was trying to play a bronze/silver girlfriend with my girlfriend) and realized my mistake was ganking midlane 2 times early game where our team's Heimerdinger was oblivious to ganks and pings. And I realized it was my fault, anyway.

But with plat elo, if bot lane feeds a few times, and maybe one other lane, it becomes hard to carry that game out. and there isnt much I can do because they arent making as many mistakes for me to capitalize on and gain an item, experience, or gold advantage.

At platinum, you probly should stop trying to carry and focus more on superior decision making and working with your team.

Also, your title is in direct contradiction to your statement "Plat I feel if someone makes 1 or 2 mistakes they just let the enemy team snowball the game. because the enemy is usually mechanically sound, and knows how to push objectives". This would imply you can just snowball and carry if your enemy makes 1 or 2 mistakes.

I can, and thats usually what I do, but sometimes get first pick they just go ahead and hard counter me. And I can sustain the lane but it gets harder to "Win" it hard and move on.

Thats not a contradiction to my statement....

The trick is not to get caught.. all of my games have been losses cuz 1-2 ppl get repeatedly caught after 30 mins
