Unpopular question: Why do people hate shorter games?
Legit question.
Is it because it’s harder to rise back against other people? Or is it because snowballs and bounties?

i dont know if that can be answered truthfully. when Blitz was around people liked it (more so than ARURF) and players tend to favor surrendering over playing through to the end. especially if they aren't winning.
I don't like the excessive snowballing. It feels like you have no options when you're a squishy champion who dies in <1 second from a fog-of-war dive or when you're a tank and a full defense build isn't enough to let you participate in fights when the enemy team obliterates you in <2 seconds.
1: puts a limit on the amount of viable champs (slow-rollers do not bode well in shorter games).
2: rewards bursty, snowball champs that are most of the time not fun to play against (
to list a few).
some folks, myself included, like an "open meta" where their are tons of champs to be able to play and face off against. with shorter games it funnels the stronger champs, they get picked more, and makes for very redundant matches over time.
now, with that said; their are problems with longer matches aswell. but i do prefer longer matches even with said flaws.
its mostly up to a matter of opinion.
because some players believe that they should win if they can't play early game but they can play Tristana or Vayne after getting three items
yknow, lots of boards users miss playstyle of "farm without interaction for +3 items" because they can't lane aggressively, or when they try to do that they overextend and die
Shorter games feel like you were cheated of any chance to win; they hurt MORE than games that last longer. Also, ask why snowball is not a fun meta.

I liked Dominion, so it's not about the game length per se. It's about pacing. Imagine how awful Star Wars would be if you tried to fit all the movies into a single 30 minute episode. That's kind of what we've got going on now.
