"Can we Baron off that?"

Context: In order to win a bet with a friend, I was trying to level a brand new account to Diamond 5 as fast as I could.

After a couple of days of almost literal hell, I feel like this is the one big question that people in Platinum need to ask themselves constantly in a game in order to climb to Diamond.

Seriously, the sheer amount of game time wasted trying to herd Platinum players to do Baron with me was honestly mindblowing.

Christ, we're all alive and healthy enough, and three players on the enemy team are dead, including their jungler. Teammates want to get CS, fuck around on the map or recall instead of doing Baron. FOUR players on the enemy team are dead, they still don't want to do Baron. So many missed Baron opportunities because little Miss Dies-A-Lot over there wanted a few extra numbers on the top-right corner of her screen.

It was honestly like herding cats. I constantly found myself asking "Are they actually trolling, or do they really not understand this? How could they possibly not understand this?"

Please, FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, Platinum players. Every time you get a good fight in the mid game, just ask yourselves: "Can we Baron off that?"

If you can Baron off of it, then fucking head straight to Baron and take it. Don't loiter, don't waste time, don't recall to buy your stupid items that little bit faster for the fight that won't even happen because the enemy team isn't in a position to contest Baron anyway.
