The point of feeding

So pretty casual player and cant play ranked because I dont have enough champs. Pretty much just play Nid jungle and do pretty well I think. But read alot of boards with ppl running into intentional feeders, whats the point of it? what do they gain from it? or are they trying to bring there rank down to play worse players? I guess I just dont get it.

The idea is pretty much to make everyone as miserable as they are. A feeder thinks they have been wronged in some way, so they feel they are carrying out justice by wronging everyone else.

99.8% of the time, they aren't really intentionally feeding. The other .02% of the time, they are trolls.

Basically its, "I'm not having fun so no1 should." or, "X player pissed me off or made a bad play so I'm going to make him pay for it by trolling."

people dont feed intentionally often people just like to think that they're special enough that someone will feed to bring them down

If you do not play ranked, don't start. Honestly, if you care about your performance, this game is going to be hell for you. I'm a competitive guy, and want to win and improve, but this game's soloQ will just get you angry 3 out of 4 games.

I love anyone who gets this reference by the way.

Intentional feeders are actually really, really rare.

A lot of people like to throw around the term - or ask for false reports in that category - when a player has a bad game or plays especially badly, but in most cases they are not actually doing this.

That's not to say that you don't see trolls, though you are usually far more likely to have people ruin games in other ways - going afk, intentionally playing badly or intentionally refusing to do anything except farm alone (these are similar to intentional feeding and tend to have the same effect, but aren't quite the same thing.)

I think the main reason that people do it is because they find it easier on their ego to intentionally lose a game, rather than putting in the effort to try to win. In the first case, they can say they weren't trying to win, and the loss was their choice. In the second case, they'd have to admit that they weren't good enough to win.

It's likely they're miserable people or in a really bad mood themselves. There's a saying "Misery Loves Company" so they feed to try and make other people miserable and inflict pain on them. Or you specifically made them angry somehow and they want revenge. That's generally how it goes. Some people are just bitter inside. Can't really solve that, they're just living a very unfulfilled life and lashing out because of it.

when i have had feeders in my games it has been.. -someone is angry about not getting their role -they were on a losing streak and just snapped so they just picked a verbal fight and then fed to piss off other people -someone who feels the early game went bad and tried to surrender so they just started feeding because others thought there was hope so he tries to strip it away. (most common) -just literally a prick.. (this is the most rare) someone who just feeds. they think its funny and they do it. -if you ever solo que in 3's verse bots.. your people with you could be bots and they just feed due to program.

If they are pissed for whatever reason, they'll attempt to sabotage the match. If the offender is the other team, they'll afk, if it's someone from their own team, they'll feed.

Basically its just something some players who suck at trolling do to try and get a rise out of others.

They feel like they can't win or w/e and are just tilted(the act of letting your emotions control your gameplay) and this throws them into a bad mood resulting in feeding. Personally I just get pissed and type some shit and then go all silent and afk farm for a little while to try and catch up and try to participate in good fights where I can at least get some assist gold for awhile.

At least if I lose when I'm more fed I feel like It wasn't a wast eof time cause I could've carried rather than trying to fight when I';m behind and get shit on anyway.

Earlier today before I logged off after a double loss I was playing sivir bot with a really trashy support, so I decided to sit at turret and just farm under turret. I stayed even in cs despite being forced off my turret to recall safely while they killed my turret with 4+ waves built up. They recalled after that and I was back to being even on cs despite the enemy adc being 3/0 Later he was 4/0/1 when I was 0/2/1 and I still soloed him in a 1v1 with my ult+ richoet+ flash up and then got some kills later as well. I ended with a slightly better KDA despite losing because my vlad somehow lost lane to an irelia.. probably because his build was trash but that doesnt matter. She pooped on me in fights. I was running ghost+ flash and still managed to get cauight as sivir because irelia was just so fed she only needed 1 stun to put anyone on the team in the ground lol.

personally I'd rather have someone intentionally feed rather than feed gold and then get kills and reset their golda nd continue feeding like my support did all game that game. Probably gave nearly 4k-6k gold himself from all the deaths and then reseting his gold by taking kills and then going and getting caught again.

if you mean the people who honestly do it on purpose and not because they are playing badly then: schadenfreude pleasure derived by someone from another person's misfortune

or in lol terms... they r trolls

lol, my friend had a bard who intent fed and bought full mobi boots, he was cho and he still won I HATE intentional feeders, esp in ranked like i kinda get it in normals if a game is definitely over (it's still annoying AF) but in ranked i cannot understand it

God bless you sir for not jumping into ranked until you have a big enough champ pool.

the only time i ever see it happen is: someone didn't get the role they wanted an ally harasses them into quitting or feeding

MacDthree6/11/2015, 6:58:01 PM1 votes

I had a post up, asking a similar question. and the response I got was "I feed to lose. My intention is to lose the game. When you try, you have to win one to lose won. When you make sure to lose them all, the losses don't feel so bad" O.o

Goodest Gamer6/11/2015, 6:58:29 PM1 votes

they know whoever gets mad at whatever they are doing will be the one who is punished. they think its funny and sad that a game allows this but they keep doing it.

Lugg6/11/2015, 6:59:23 PM1 votes

The fact is that some people are just assholes.

They get mad because someone gave up first blood, the jungler didn't immediately come gank their lane, someone said something that pissed them off, etc. and decide F U, i'm going to feed just to get back at you.
