So pretty casual player, just play nidalee jungle. tried my first ranked game, not only was the wait longer I got in there and called jungle nidalee. And sure enough first ban from our team was nidalee. I do have other junglers I play so w/e ill use one of those. nope another guy picks a jungle with smite/flash. Im the last pick and dont have an ADC champ in my pool. you can imagine how it went. But anyway the shaco who chose to jungle didnt connect all game and we ended up ff at 20 min mark.

For ranked they should set up the queue system like the unranked one where you join as your champion and lane you want then just group you up with other people for the other roles.

But anyway sticking with unranked so I can play with Nidalee

You really don't get the jist of ranked game do you lol ?

It's an environment where people pick in pick orders. that being said, people are supposed to be ready to play any role when needed be. If you can't play or are not willing to play every role, please for the everyone's sake, stay out of ranked.

If you're last pick then prepare to get the role you do not want. That is usually jungler and support in bronze/silver. Sometimes if you mention you are bad at a certain role someone will switch with you.

However you should have a sizable pool for each role, and should be able to play at least 3 or 4 of the roles efficiently before entering ranked. I think they are working on a ranked team builder, but without the option to choose your champion.

It might have been likely that your team captain was a troll that banned what you called out as your preference. I've had that happen a few times.
