Jungling in Gold elo

Morgana Deus·4/28/2019, 3:02:44 AM·7 votes·9,219 views

So since Morgana is banned every game I've decided to learn a new role. I'm a pretty solid mid laner and an excellent support player. Well, relatively speaking, I'm only plat/diamond in skill level.

Anyway, I've been trying to learn how to jungle, but I notice most gold games seem very coinflippy. People just hard int the enemy jungle to the most obvious ganks. I can't always be on that side of the map to counter gank, but I do when I am.

I'm just very confused. In low elo games should I just not farm and do nothing but gank?

I had a game where I was 0/1/0. I took 3 dragons, rift herald, counter ganked twice. Enemy jungler was 1/0/1. Bot lane was 0/10. JUNGLE DIFFERENCE.

it blows my mind. No wonder these kids are stuck in gold.

How do you smurf in gold?

Edit:

Just had the classic. I'm 4/0 in jungle. Bot lane is 10/2. Top lane is even. My mid laner is 0/7 and spams "xd" all game in all chat and refuses to participate. So we lose. Was a gold 3 average game. What a great game. Better players definitely won.

Welcome to JG. As a general rule you'll notice the mid laner is the worst overall player on your team as they're the highest impact lane. It's a nightmare. Gank top/bottom. Let the mid sink or swim unless it opens itself up. Don't rely on mid to help you in river or even own JG unless you see them do it first.

By that I mean literally don't engage half a screen away from mid, they WONT come to a winning fight.

So I pulled up one of your previous posts and found this

https://boards.na.leagueoflegends.com/en/c/gameplay-balance/yw9wfA3l-dear-dumb-junglers

This is the amazing piece of advice Mr. "Morgana Deus" offered on this brilliantly composed article, and I quote :

So the moral of the story here is that you junglers need to understand you are NOT the win condition. You are not the carry. The bot lane Vayne and similar champions will carry the game. You need to enable them. You need to take responsibility for winning the game. You can't just passively farm your jungler and let your win condition 2v3 the entire fucking game.

The sad thing is, this scenario plays out in every single fucking game of League of Legends in season 9. You either camp bot lane and get them ahead or you choose to lose the game. That is how s9 and s7 and s6 and s5 and s4 and s3 and s2 work. Literally play around your bot lane. It isn't hard.

So Mr. Morgana Deus, why don't you follow your own advice? "Just sit bot lane" hahaha "just get your adc fed" haha "LITERALLY PLAY AROUND YOUR BOT BRO" HAHAHA "IT ISN'T HARD BRO" HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA . THEN WHY THE FUCK DIDN'T YOU JUST PLAY AROUND YOUR BOT LANE? IT ISN'T HARD RIGHT?

This is the type of bullshit jungle mains face every single game when trash shitstains like you flame them. And now that you get to go through the same shit you come here to the boards crying like a little bitch.

Literally all of your posts is just whining, whining and bitching about teammates. You even wrote 2 posts about how the game is unplayable and you don't enjoy it anymore. Why are you still playing? Get off this game. Go get a life.

You fucking got me beat chief. I'm trying to figure out the same fucking thing on my main account. I won't claim I'm a good jungle or anything, but some games are just so unwinnable it's ridiculous.

This is why my main acc is hard stuck Gold IV 0 lp and my Plat acc is Plat II and climbing. Jungle is mostly a shit role, you may have the best skills / mechanics but its all up to your team to help you when they invade you.

You need to play like champs like shaco, rengar, khazix, evelynn and possibly even take dark harvest below plat cuz it's inevitably a 1v9 every other game due to the nature of how often "silly gooses" appear if you're going for a high win rate.

EDIT: I just realized I neglected to mention that a lot goes into jg as far as your pathing and priorities go. You're gonna need to work on it to make sure you outperform the enemy jungler every game. I was a low diamond teemo one trick before I started jungling and it took me about a year for my jungling to catch up to my top lane.

Let me suggest an exercise to you. Play on like a silver or gold account and don't even think about ganking, just farm and invade and see if you can farm more monsters out of the enemy jungle than the enemy jungler. This will help you start to think about when each camp will spawn and where the enemy jungler might be etc.

I did an account to learn nunu. Started him off with like 55% wr going into it and remembered theres no actual teammates down in the depths. Played warwick, yi, twitch jg and think had around a 90% till about mid gold on them when i switchd back to nunu and got wr up to 70% to plat, while technically in plat mmr when i swapped to nunu. Point is, dont play shit that cant do everything in an elo where teammates might literally know nothing about how to be effective at their roles. Also those picks between the junglers was conditional, like dont pick twitch jg into assassin comps.

U want to play around bot side usually, its its where the most peolple r and therefore is the most snowbally, and u want to snowball ur games as often as possible through 'safe' methods. That means dont force plays, react to them unless theyre free and u dont need team help. Figure out the opposing jungler and have him initiate the play and counter it. Most gold junglers are ridiculously predictable.

Those kinds of players appear anywhere.

Recently had a game on irelia, early on by level 3-4 or something my jungle olaf just runs into enemy jungle Taliyah a little bit below baron bit and starts to fight her.....while having 20% less HP than her.

I immediately run down but as olaf facetanked her entire combo and more he ends up dying before i reach her, and with my opponent Riven right behind i only barely kill Taliyah who still had 50% health before dying myself

Bad trade but i had hoped Olaf would at least flash her E and W to avoid some damage (and last longer)....which he didnt.

Then when i hit 7 olaf runs in, lvl 5 and tries to fight Riven (70% health) when im down to 40%, he instantly dies and because i moved a bit to close Riven gapcloses with flash and kills me too.....apparently olaf had been invaded and lost all his camps because he went bot&mid and died without clearing anything.

I later manage to kill the Riven a couple of times bringing us back to a nearly even score of like 4.4,1 and 4,5,0.

Then Olaf runs in again and tries to 1v1 her being 2 levels below her and having like 1 kill and 2 assists, blows up from full health almost right up.

Then the fellow claims it was the laners that lost him the game and that he did everything he could x)

Another game i played Kai´sa and enemy team went on Baron, my Team´s poppy and Amumu decide they wana go in 2v4, rush the Baron pit and jump the enemy jungle yi.

Amumu misses his bandage toss, misses his ult by using it after Yi pressed Q to gapclose on him outside the pit and then he& actually gets used as healing potions by Yi who heals of them with conqueror.

Poppy missed everything as well, then after killing them Yi comfortably goes back and finishes baron.

Later poppy and Amumu run into the Dragon area (just the two of them again) about 10 seconds after the Dragon went down and they find the entire enemy team waiting and die instantly.

They then blame the rest of us for not following them in.....while the rest of us had just revived.

So like......screwball players can come up anywhere at any time, you can only try to adapt as you go.

Try to focus on bot and play a hyper carry jngl.

You have played 2 jungle games, one of them remake, the other one a win, I don't understand why you gotta make things up? Lets assume that this is on some alt account:

  1. Do not think for a second that any other role has transferable skills to jungle. They don't. It is legit like taking on the role of ADC as a top laner, you ain't got no clue how to play the role from a fundamental standpoint. I guarantee that if I watch your games that you don't take Krugs on spawn throughout the game. I also guarantee that you aren't playing meta junglers.

  2. Don't act like you are king of the jungle and better players lose, that isn't the case. Your objective in the game is to gank more and farm more than the enemy jungler until you hit Masters where jungle difference isn't a thing anymore. And when you get a lead on them, you bully the hell out of them. You wanna know how Gold players play jungle? They legit take whichever side of the jungle has more camps and then gank the nearest lane, and will almost always suicide for Crabs. That is how they play, braindead. If you can't win games against them and are claiming "better jungler wins hehe xd", then you aren't good enough to play the role in that elo because with how predictable they are, its very easy to beat them consistently.

  3. Had you of been playing jungle in like Diamond +, I would have some sympathy for this post because the position starts to matter less the higher and higher you go. You get to decide the pace of the game in low elo because nobody will attempt to punish you for being greedy, aggressive, etc.

I'm going to say one thing here. You aren't playing Jungle in that different of an ELO. If you play the right champions, and play above the elo you are in, you will win 99% of jungle matchups netting in about a 70-80% win rate. You are going to drop a game here and there regardless of how well you do because thats just what happens in League no matter what role you play. "Better [insert position here] wins" doesn't apply in gold.

Imo gold is very bad right now. Ever since the ranked changes and revert the skill disparity in teammates is huge. In my personal experience, they do not how to play safe or wait. Second they want to fight all the time and put no effort into objectives only kills.

Dude, my match history is 20 or so lost games (with 1 or 2 won in between). I can ping 100 times where the enemy jungler is, I put wards actually on the gank paths (people always path the same, maybe 1 game I saw a guy using weird pathing and nothing. They don't react, absolutely nothing. After - they will always blame you. What you actually just said - I've the same, I always go for counter ganks (when possible) or invade enemy jungle (actually most games I start with 3 buffs), get ahead in the beginning. Then we lose. The conclusion is - it doesn't matter. No matter what you do, how you play - matchmaking will take care of the game. And some people who play completely broken champs that your team doesn't play. And - nothing gets done. But I'm glad rito has a new logo.

The worst part is when your top or mid is a late game champ, or someone with no kill pressure whatsoever.. and you're 'kinda' nearby while enemy high kill pressure laner/jungle ganks happen. And your laner ping spams you like crazy to "go in".. you ping spam like crazy "back off".. your laner "goes in" and dies 1v2 then says

"wtf troll jg, dude is shit" in all chat "could have won that fight ez.. jg diff, gg" and does the same thing another 3 or 4 times, ping spamming you and then griefing the rest of the game. the amount of gold players who don't understand the difference between champs with kill pressure vs those that dont, much less powerspikes or levels, is absolutely unreal.

Preach, It's very clear that this game makes it troublesome for players in purpose to go up the queue because otherwise you would have many people who deserve higher elo in high elo and Riot thinks these people would get bored or the game cuz of the 'no challenge factor' and/or it would be much harder to organize because you would have many high rank representatives who Riot would have to please in order to keep them coming.

Imho just like in life it's hard for people to rank up the social/economical ladder on purpose, Riot made the game also difficult to rank up as they don't seem to want people to know how to play because you see no clear guides to make the clearly ignorants know the basics, and they only show toys and sales.
