Engage right after his passive ends. That is your best hope. Still can't do much vs a stormraiders ghost righteous glory Ryze though.

his passive is that his cd is lower when he cast spells or they changed that?

On his 4th? 5th? Spell cast he gets a shield and the next few spells he casts reduces his cds by his Q cd.

Ashe fights him with Arrows. Well, and a Bow. But if he gets close enough I assume she could just beat him with the Bow or stab him with the Arrows.

Lee Sin fights him in the dark. Well, it's dark for Lee Sin... not for Ryze.

Trundle fights him with a club and teeth.

Cho' Gath fights him with... well... he just eats him.

Brand fights him with fire.

Annie fights him with fire and a demonic teddy bear.

Singed doesn't fight anyone, he just keeps running away until they die chasing.

Zed fights him with YOU OP MFer RITO NERF Sum' Biatch OP OP Garbage (tourettes syndrome over load... collapses in a spent heap of hatred).

Draven fights him with Axes... so does Olaf.

Oh... not what you meant? My bad.

Taric doesn't fight, but Ryze is indefinitely charmed.

Easiest way is to just widdle him down (via poke) and/or steal his blue buffs. Ryze is ridiculously mana-reliant, so if you force'm to expand excess spells to either clear minion waves or heal himself via spellvamp then he becomes way less threatening.

  1. Fight right after he has used his passive: He is trash outside his small window of power

  2. Stun/silence during passive If you have hard cc, all you have to so is wait for him to pop his passive and stun/silence him, then refer to #1

  3. Watch his mana bar: he is super mana hungry. If he is below 50% mana he probably can't kill you

  4. When ganking, make sure you are not standing next to your gank partner, he has lots of AOE, but it is very small radius

  5. Poke: he is very short range

  6. Watch his feet. If he has 3 or more stacks pre-6 or 2 or more post-6 stay out of range. If his stacks drop off, harass/engage, if he keeps building and pops his passive, see #1.
