Her q is actually an amazing poke and trading tool, the enemy botlane comes down to a frustrating situation where if they don't focus me down, my adc can get a double, and if they focus the adc down, I could pick up the kills. I had a Jihn adc so it was easy to just go ham and watch him pick up kills halfway down the lane.

The amazing thing on her kit for supporting is her e, pretty much free gold/harass for you and your adc.

I think it is viable under certain conditions, she moves terribly slow and is "somewhat" vulnerable to ganks. I say somewhat because if your ult is up and you aren't out of health its really easy to turn a fight around. If the enemy team has ranged cc, cleanse is a must because they will burst you dawn and you don't have a true engage. She has so much hidden strength that she can afford to buy sightstone and face of the mountain and go full bruiser. She really shines in teamfights which is what the game is about, essentially you should never lose a fight unless you're poked to death.

In short both. I like nonmeta picks, still can't get support Aatrox (unless I'm laning with a lane bully adc), Nocturne (unless I'm laning with Sivir), and Renekton(might try this again) to work out :( , I actually used to main support Trundle a few years back when Leona mains were wrecking bot. I play all the traditional supports with Morg, Karma, and Sona being my favorite of those. I kinda wish off sups like Kayle and Nidalee had some utility buffs to put them back in bot lane. Bot lane is pretty weird, you can even make Cassiopeia and Katarina and Kennen work if your adc understands how you play.
