Does darius counter yasuo? If so how?

Me and my friend 1v1 for a mystery gift. I asked not to counter pick so it would be fair. I was yas he was darius. He is beating me so hard and he thinks it is fair and that darius doesn't counter yasuo at all and that it is fair. Can someone write a comment and explain how it isn't fair?

Darius counters basically any melee champion. He destroys them all. Huge bleed damage, heals, slows, pulls, true damage execute.

This has truth to it. Yasuo can win via some fancy dodging to mitigate Darius damage, but Darius has more damage, more tankiness, and better ability to control engagements unless outplayed. Levels 2-5 are theoretically winnable for Yasuo, but you'd have to AT LEAST avoid blade Q damage (and you really probably have to avoid the damage altogether), maintain enough dashable minions to disengage through his E or avoid his E, and avoid all-ins in general. Level 6 is nearly impossible for Yasuo to survive, so you'd have to already be very ahead by then. Much easier said than done.

Games not balanced around 1v1, balanced around 5v5.

Apparently not.

And from my experience on both ends of the matchup, no, he doesn't. Yasuo can easily avoid Darius' Q, and due to his E there is never any compelling reason for Yasuo to be in range of Darius longer than he wants to be (basically, after you trade and your shield soaks his damage).

If not dodged, Darius's Q will leave bleed damage on yasuo even after his shield expires which leads to more than decent trade from that alone, dodging is also a little tricky in some circumstances meaning that if there are no minions nearby, i.e: In the jungle, or if you've used the dashes through all the minions, Darius has a free ticket to pull you in, auto attack, and Q, and if he has ult, you're basically dead.

It is best to gank other lanes instead of facing your own since those kills and assists boosts your gold significantly, and you may actually be ahead of the Darius.

In your case, there are no other lanes for you to gank, so you're screwed.

(Edit: Just realized this thread was so old that darius probably had different mechanics then idk but for newcomers, read this)
