I once went thresh support. The ezreal refused to let me get last hits when I had relic shield. He would q and auto really fast when I started attacking. So I bought berzerker's and wits end and completely denied the already feeding him of cs. After selling my relic shield.

What was even more funny is when the enemy also has a tank support who get RS and out golds your ADC and have him complain that the enemy is at a gold advantage because they know how RS works. People seriously need to learn how items works. It's not that hard!

Many people don't even know what teemo's passive is. I guess we can't expect them to know what relic shield's passive is.
My friend was talking to me about thresh with relic shield and he was under the belief that in order for thresh to use relic shield he needs to stack his on hit passive to the max before hitting a minion. I... Don't even know anymore.

What Is Smite7 votesEh the way they have threshes animations for his AA's at different ranges make it seem like he is a borderline case for relic shield. At the max range of his AA it's clear that he's throwing his chain to hit enemies, however at point blank range he uses the sickle as if it were a melee weapon. So blame the animations/balance/coding team for whoever fucked up there

I had a game once where I got ahead early on my jungle Sion so, like any good tanky initiator jungler with flat HP scaling should do when he gets a large amount of early gold, I bought myself a Sightstone to get deep vision in the enemy jungle and keep track of their jungler while also making myself tankier. My team are all like "Sion why the fuck do you have a Sightstone?" and our Blitzcrank took that as a sign that he didn't need to get a Sightstone because the team already had one (completely missing the point that the whole idea of getting Sightstone on a jungler is so the team can have TWO Sightstones) so he went straight AP. I had to spend quite some time carefully and methodically explaining things to him (in all-caps) before he finally got the message and picked one up (more than 25 minutes into the game).

But..
If i'm still warding to the best of my ability, and still have someone on my team be like "Sup we need more wards plz" or anything of the like..i stop warding...Possibly for the rest of the game(and i only ward behind myself to make sure I DON'T DIE/get caught out). Because it tilts me that people only notice when the wards are missing after it died 2-3 seconds ago but don't notice that i alway sit at 0 charges at any given time during the game.

You probably lack the damage to outright kill them with it, but, like with that Sona, the damage can really make someone reconsider! Just remember that with Lulu is not about using a full burst rotation, it's about wearing them down while shrugging off their attempts to kill you by taking advantage of your defensive abilities and AP-Scaling Utility! :3
Frost the Reaper4 votesI'd like to point out that in their current state: the Eye of XXXXX items aren't nearly as good as having their tier 3 support item and ruby sightstone. Ruby Sightstone gives all of your activatibles a 10% cooldown reduction, and all the tier 3 support items are actives.

The problem is, with Mana Potions and Stealth Wards BOTH removed from the item store this season, Supports don't NEED item efficiency desperately badly. They still don't have enough gold income to buy non-support items like AP (and they never will, let's face it) and tier 3 support items like Talisman of Ascension and the (new and improved) Frost Queen's Claim have extremely powerful actives that are more useful than anything else you can pick up on a support budget. I haven't bought an Eye item yet and I don't see any reason to do so in the future.

The buffs to support gold generation items + the changes to passive gold (the 2 players with the least gold on each team get more passive gold after a few minutes) mean supports have a ton more gold to work with.
For instance lets look at Brand support. Using champion.gg (so only look at plat or above players, who can cs well so should have the biggest difference between support and solo lane gold income), Brand mid averages 12100 gold per game while Brand support averages 11000 gold per game. They are only 1100 gold apart. That is a really minor difference over the length of a full game. Both can still have 3 AP items completed.
Don't get me wrong, you'll still build frost queen's claim over eye of the watchers (because the active is amazing), but you definitely have the gold income to build ap items. You should build utility items because your team needs them, not because "supports don't earn much gold" because that simply isn't true anymore. Supports can easily get more gold than other roles now if the players in other roles cs poorly.
3TWarrior3 votesbrand support has an advantage that most supports don't have though, his passive procs spell thief thanks to spaghetti code (as riot puts it), so all he needs is to hit an opponent, even with his targeted E and he will gain all 24 - 45 gold for his 30 seconds of time
I think the only other supports that can do that (well, if morgana really counts as a support), are morgana and lulu
sona can cut a close second to those, but most people will easily avoid her Q combo by simply moving out of range

Here's the reason for it. It's both slot efficient AND gold efficient.
In order to get Talisman + Sightstone, you need to spend 3000 gold. And you want both of those items as soon as possible.
In order to get Eye of the Oasis, you spend 2200 gold, and it's only one item slot. Now, granted, you could easily make the case that Talisman's active is worth 800 gold, but you still don't have tier 1 boots and with how quickly games are ending and the increase in the number of surrendering at 20, finishing these items quickly so you can start getting your mid game build is incredibly attractive.
If you're not convinced, I will add that Eye of the Oasis has 150% health and mana regeneration, which makes it incredibly attractive for tanky supports who have lots of mana issues (
), Eye of the Watcher gives you a spare item slot for AP items (and also you get to start building AP 800 gold earlier, which is a full 
you could be having) and Eye of the Equinox actually gives you 50 MORE health than Face of the Mountain.
The important thing about Eye of the Equinox is that you aren't stuck with two items that give you health and no resistances. If you build FotM and SS, you have lots of health, but no armor or MR, and with flat penetration nerfed into the ground some early armor can ruin an assassin's day.

But that's my perspective anyway...

Beldair2 votesApparently ppl can't read item descriptions. I always get Equinox or Watcher for my support and get the red trinket to replace my old ward. That way i have the stealth wards and a way to find enemy wards.
