So, comment. No offense meant to anyone....but I think we should try a patch rundown where there isn't someone incredibly involved with the reasoning behind balance changes (Morello in this recent video, statikk in the last one I saw). I think the "host who guides the discussion, professional player, Rioter" are three really good roles, because they start to talk about the implications of the patch, what changes they think will happen in game and the effect on competitive play and mentally I go "ooh, this is what I wanted to see" but then the balance rioter interrupts with 'well actually here's what we were trying to do-' and then talks. And talks. And talks. Morello, being one of four people at the table, seemed to take up at least half of the discussion. That's why we read the PATCH NOTES. WHAT RIOT IS TRYING TO DO IS RIGHT THERE IN THE PATCH NOTES. Now, when he started talking about the gameplay direction of assassins from a design standpoint, that was great, but talking on Kogmaw nerfs, what he said could have been stated just as easily and quicker by Zionspartan. What he said on Gnar could have been said by the guy on the actual champ design team (who didn't look super happy about being interrupted on camera).
If you have to have a high level design team member, have him talk on high level design. That's okay. But the point of the round table is to talk about what the patch means realistically for people playing the game in a public or competitive standpoint. I want to hear more about that and less repitition of what we get on boards threads about changes, patch notes, and champion previews. Personally I'd love to see a fourth person coming to the table to talk about the impact of the change on soloqueue rather than comp play, maybe someone involved in statistics and the like.
Tl;DR: No offense meant, but Morello you have a design blog, patch notes, and frequent board posts to talk about Riot's reasoning behind specific changes. Be quiet and let the people we don't hear from all the time talk about things we haven't heard. Thanks.
I think the obvious question is about the Morgana changes and why her 3 sec CC has not been touched. Damage isn't the issue, it's more about the catching potential. She'll still be high priority pick just for that reason.
Kayle's buff is a bug, right?
Also, will Gnar be enabled for World?
Does anyone here actually like the patch rundown? The whole talk show thing sorta irks me. Probably because most rioters and pro-gamers aren't really charismatic enough to be likable on TV. No offense to Stattik and Scarra, they just looked hella uncomfortable during the video I watched.
I do not understand why would you Increase the cooldown on Rengar's ult, Rengar is not that OverPowered, i mean sure his sort of dominating the jungle, but i personally think that you should have left him alone and focus on more other champs, i like how you guys "balanced" morgana, that im okay with, just dont understand the reason why.
o.o
i really enjoyed the discussion this patch. The previous patch rundown discussions seemed to turn less towards analyzing the changes and why it is and more towards fairly opinionated remarks that didn't really do much to actually show how the changes affect the game on both a casual and competitive level. It was also nice listening to ZionSpartan on this rundown, he gave a lot of insight as to how the changes feel to a competitive player and what still might need to be changed a bit more.
Is the new SR map coming this patch?
Update the summoners rift!!!!!!!!!!!
Hey, one champion that I really would like to see more of is Shaco. In the rundown they were talking about assassins a lot and how they are not that played often enough in League, and so I thought that I would mention him. I have him and I was really excited because I had never seen him in one of my games before and when I played him on my first game I ended up getting a quadra kill and a bunch of triples and doubles. On my FIRST game. I actually found him quite op and wonder why people don't play him. Turns out I was lucky and he is really hard to play... Also reading his history, he was nerfed pretty hard and I'm kind of confused and sad that I'm the only person besides one guy that played Shaco, that's ever been in my games. I ask you Riot, will you ever do something with him, like make him a COOL skin, not one that changes his COLOR. I don't want to see one of my favorite champions get so unpopular that you might as well take him out of the game. Pls Riot... Pls.
i personally think alot of people are thinking the same thing i am thinking riot works on the same 10 to 15 champs and nerfs/buffs only these champs for the pro players and i think its getting old maybe you should change other champs and bring a biggger range of play into the league of legends whats the poiint of having over 100 champs and only 20 are played. you are at riot are getting lazy.
I feel like this series is developing into less of a "Patch Rundown" and more of a "Pro players share their thoughts about recent league events and changes." I think I would like the show more if I weren't constantly getting something different than what the title is promising me. They don't talk about what's in the patch hardly at all. It's very centered around the competitive scene and I feel like the title should match. If you're going to call it Patch Rundown, you should make it a rundown of the patch... If you want to make it a talk show, call it something that reflects that.
So What about the new summoners rift you guys were talking about a few months ago is it still being worked on is it not ready for the all the champions? or is it that champions and skins are more important? That Was something everyone got excited about now they forgot about it or is it you want to show it and then have people forget then upload it then people are like WHAAAT. its just been on my mind for a while. #RIPUrfMode

I got a better idea how about you guys talk about Taric in your next patch 5.0 or something. As of right of where it stands Taric so far has been left out in his updates and artwork. Everyone else has at least have a new skin within the past few weeks or so. Like how many skin does Teemo have or Ezreal have compare of Taric. It would be nice to see an update artwork on Taric or at least a new skin for him like a legendary skin for something epic for Taric. You don't really see that with Taric. He has what at least four skin that I know of way less then any other champ. If you go and look at least five to ten other champs have more then three or four skins on them excepted the newer camps that not yet any ways to which they only have two skins at the moment. Give them time to give them more skins like Jinx or Gnar. Like I said ever since that Taric came out when was the last time he had a new skin? Just saying. I would to see and hear in your next patch that you guys talk about.
Why do nerfs and buffs need to be made to champions and items? Does riot plan to always continually change champion kits? I would understand new items each season but perhaps riot has a better long term plan, I would like to know what riots long term plans for league of legends is. ALSO; what got league of legends into its position to where champion changes begin to be needed?
Please change Diana's passive to allow her bonus damage from the third aa to not have a limited window.
I have a question that I think a lot of other players would ask right now which is, are you gonna nerf or at least tweak
a little bit on the next patch?
Right now he's ridiculously strong and at level 3 almost has the burst of a mid laner so he's completly destroying bot lanes and there's really not much of a chance to actually shut him down without a gank and even so it may still not happen.
Thank you.
<- that champ is getting so much nerfs, is he really that op? or do u guys dont like what he could of done, the trill of the hunt warning is not so necessary, he should also have a smaller cooldown on his 'w' or something... please buff him a bit
