MMR and how it works?

I'm sure there have been many posts on this before, but how does the MMR system function? If my MMR is at lets say 1500 and that is normal for my rank, but then i lose like 3 games, my mmr goes down. Does this mean I play with people who have less MMR than they should as well? It is getting very frustrating to win your lane most games but still lose the game because you are playing with lower MMR people and therefore are unable to increase your MMR. Any Ideas?

MMR is seperate from your actual rating and is what will really matter if you want to try and fix your rating. You know how sometimes you might lose at 0 LP in a division but won't get demoted? Your rating may not take a hit, but your mmr does. Losing or winning multiple times in a row also gives you bigger mmr gains as it shows the system you are better than what it believes you to be.

You have to consistently win if you want to fix your mmr, and winning multiple times in a row will help fix it. If your mmr is lower and you are with worse players, you should be able to carry the games if you belong in a higher rating, or at least win a majority of your games.

Hope this helps.

Ok that makes sense. Thanks bud. ^_^

P.S. I wish carrying were easier with the people with no brain but hey, unlucky right?

You can do it, I have faith ^_^. I found that this game is pretty much 90% mental, and just keeping your team in good spirits wins games. Even if they are bad, the other team is also likely to be around the same skill level. If your team has better morale so to speak, they are less likely to throw.

Good point ig, the hard part is not having good communication, i wish riot had an option for voice chat in game, that way if you choose not to talk you dont have to, but you can still listen to calls made by someone on your team, or have someone keep your spirits up. I will try to be more motivating to people for winning. Great advice sir/mam. Appreciate it :D
