@CertainlyT, this is a serious thread for you, no witchhunt, just a thread, asking one simple thing.

Hi, I'm a Silver I player, and my opinion, 1 opinion may not matter much. Hey, it may not matter at all really. I just wanted to ask this one question, regardless of how popular this thread becomes, CertainlyT, why do you not take in ideas from the community? Lots of players loved Mordekaiser, sure, it may be a miniscule amount, but, some played. Why would you rework Mordekaiser? Please, I ask this simple question. Why?

Mordekaiser was meant to be a midlaner/toplaner, a anti-squishy, tanky, a powerful ultimate, and an unstoppable force. He was one of the few champions, who were actually healthy. He was strong - but, he had no mobility, that's how the strong champions with no mobility should actually be, Syndra Brand. Mordekaiser was a healthy champion, sure, he was a mediocre champion, but all you had to do, was change some things around, step by step, wait for the agreements/hate, and continue on. You slowly buffed Elise right? You could do it here, very easily. @CertainlyT, your champions are sort of fun, some, become a bit too scary, like Kalista, "The Abomination". You make fun champions, not balanced champions, that's how the whole community thinks of you.

I've never played Mordekaiser, but I've fought against him, and got my ass kicked. It may of been I got outplayed, but getting my ass kicked, by a mediocre champion, shows something, it shows, god damn, this champion is good in the right hands. You are doing something bad @CertainlyT, which can easily be fixed. Make Children of the Grave something cooler, like, control 1 champion, or control 1 minion, every 8 seconds. I don't know, but, there were so many unique things you could've done CertainlyT, you and I, both know that you took the wrong road here.

You create overpowered champions, and they are in a barrage of nerfs, and forced into mediocrity. Champions like Caitlyn, are perfectly healthy champions, that's what you want to aim for. Simple - yet effective. Overloaded kits for, "The Plays!", are not a good design concept. Why? It's because - adding overloaded kits will create a gap between the simple champions, and, there will be the mediocre simple champions, and the overloaded champions.

So, the simple question is. Why? Why do you still work on the Mordekaiser rework - yet, the hate is stronger then before, nobody likes it. People didn't like the Darius rework either, I don't like it either because, I played Darius, and loved him for a few games. Thing is, after I realized the rework that was upcoming, I sort of, blanked out, and stopped playing Darius immediately. I used my last refund token to refund Dunkmaster, because that was HOW bad, the Darius rework was in my opinion.

I'm just stating my opinion, and I hope CertainlyT sees this. Bye.

at the time morde was made, he wasnt actually meant to be anything.

locked down roles didnt exist. people used to do things like go bot with 2 bruisers and take an adc mid. so technically he isnt changing mordes predesignated role, because he didnt have one.

honestly, i dont know why youre so upset about him laning with a support now.

Stattik or Repertoir is the one taking care of the rework. Certainly T needs to give permission but he said there wasnt any thematic concern there.

Also, you seemed bitter in your post. And knowing that the player base been massively on his case for no reason with insults and threats. I doubt this will be looked upon positively.

His champions arent OP per se. hes not the one deciding the numbers. He design thematics and personalities you can connect to. No one argue that he does that very well. Also, morde hate fest threads are kind of saturated. I dont think also that morde rework is his idea only. Hes not a one man show. Besides: a lot of people like the darius rework: or would like more out of it. the designer in charge has been very receptive.

having a bruiser on bot lane instead of a ranged adc is the most out of meta ive seen in years. i think theyre generally going into the right direction trying to break up the ranged adc + support meta with some of the changes theyve been doing, rather than enforcing it.

the thing is, its also the only way how more than 2 or 3 ranged adc can be viable at the same time. because if theyre only ever laning against each other, then theyre invalidating each other with any kinds of nerfs or buffs. they just cycle through because people pick the one whos most likely to snowball the lane and carry of that advantage late.

however if theyre not mandatory to each game, while not being locked down on bot lane in 100% of the cases, things could look much different. adc could find different nieches in other positions, while youre not forced to take one with you every game if you want to have a chance at winning.
