Zz'rot Is Being Abused Defensively

I'm plat V, seeing top lane opponents get Zz'rot's first item. When placed at their tower, it provides insane defensiveness, making it very hard to take enemy tower or kill the portal, even with jungle help. To boot, if you recall without tele ready, Zz'rot will push lane and hit your tower with at least a bug or two.

A second behavior I've been seeing is where the losing team will sell a few items late game in order to place 2 - 3 portals around nexus to stop super creeps in their tracks as they get roasted by nexus lasers.

I don't believe this is the intended use of the item, and it feels unhealthy. Thoughts?

My suggestions:

1 - Stronger, but more infrequent, bug output (would stop blocking pushes so effectively) 2 - Shorter bug range, so that a defensive placement at your own tower cannot reach the opponent's tower

Just a symptom of Riot's retarded minion pushing changes. This item did not used to be overpowered. It was actually quite underpowered when the rot damage scaled with resists. It became a viable item when they changed it to scale with max health. It became overpowered when turrets became paper and the minion changes.

Yeah the item is pretty cancer, its abused at all levels of play so expect some changes coming soon.

Why did you get downvoted?

Are there people that like playing against that strategy? I don't get it.
