At its most basic level, The New York times is fire kindling.

"At its most basic level, League of Legends is a game of capture the flag, though that is a bit like describing brain surgery as “a medical procedure.”" a bit...better.. I guess?

I read the article. Clearly Biased, which is really insulting. also the game is nothing like capture the flag!

If you consider Dominion then this description is very accurate (except for the rest of league of legends)

hmm, I always thought of it like capture points from TF2 if you were to compare it to something

The power of a misquote. The article itself is quite good.

Hmm.. At it's very very basic level I guess you could call it that? It's more like a game of fort, were your trying to overtake your friend's fort. You throw snowballs at each other, occasionally dump trashcans filled with snow on them. Fun times...

I would tend to agree with the 'Times. The real difference, being, rather than capture, you kill the 'flag'. Break it down, and I refer to SR&TT more-so in this, you start the with two bases, whoever successfully invades the opposing base wins. Its certainly an extrapolation of capture the flag, but at its heart I agree with the writer.

I guess if you truly are taking it to it's most basic level, you could call it that. Although describing it as two teams with one base each, with a common goal of destroying the other would do too.
