I'd say Thresh item 3302 if you can last hit Thresh item 3301 if you can't last hit

even with changes to coin, it's not bad an item and if that thresh wasn't confident in hitting for relic then it's totally legit, especially if he wanted to play a more passive lane

Yes? I've never seen a Thresh take ancient coin, and he didn't hook, and played passively, and fed the most in the game. That being said, it sparked confusion and annoyance. I'm plenty grown up, I have every right to partake in discussion for something that I don't like or don't understand. If you can't respect that and can't talk to me like an adult, see yourself out.

Not trying to be petty. But Thresh doesn't get the execute. And the LH is hard to do if you and your ADC can't coordinate. So I wouldn't call your support "trolling" just because he picks the common Coin pick.

I don't even use ancient coin on soraka or janna anymore.

Why would you want to walk up to the minions just to eat two autos off the ad and have the opposing support wail on you?

IMO it doesn't make sense to pick an item where you don't benefit from the passive it provides (ie. relic shield on thresh). i'd rather get less health and go for eye of osiris.
