How different is low-elo compared to high elo?

Just wondering the differences because i hear high elo players always say its the same thing the higher you get, besides the mechanical ability.

I really don't know... But I did watch a stream a couple days ago, the team went 0-5 in the first 6mins and opened mid. nexus died at 9mins.

So I guess they don't waste time trying to come back when they're like 3k gold behind. We newbies can make it happen because both teams suck haha

Sometimes people in high elo make the same mistakes that are made in low elo. When this happens they are capitalized on a lot harder / more often. Over all the game feels different though. On my smurfs I can do some retarded full damage builds and solo carry a game without being punished for my build. On my main if I do an all damage build it is out of desperation because my team blows and if I don't play super safe I get targetted.

The team fights feel different and more coordinated in high elo but from a jungler's perspective laning phase feels pretty similiar. People feed about the same during laning phase. It is mid-late where people are a little smarter about not getting caught. With that said though, in low elo if someone is out of position they might be able to get away with it. I see a lot of ADCs solo split push vs rengars / Kha zixs and they go unpunished. If someone in higher elo does the same thing they are considered intentionally feeders.

The frustrating part is that 1 person can completely ruin a game in high elo. If a game goes late and someone gets caught the enemy will instantly punish the whole enemy team by either making a baron play or just pushing to nexus. In low elo if someone gets caught you see the team that made the catch barely capitalize on it. I've seen low elo games where 1 team could have ended off a catch but instead they all backed and bought.

It depends on your definition of high and low elo. Pro streamers think anything under diamond 1 is complete garbage. Here is a pretty good video breaking the different tiers down.

They have better team work and macro plays
