How to fix Kalista's passive

Right now Kalista has the ability to effortlessly kite 95% of the melees in the game and since melee accounts for atleast 40% of the champions in the game this should not be. The problem is her passive, even if she has 99% slow (yeah talon does this) she can just dash away even though she is slowed. With enough attack speed (a natural choice for a AD carry like Kalista) it becomes nearly impossible for melee to keep up with her. "But she has a high skill level!", that hardly matters because as soon as someone figures her out she quickly becomes unstoppable.

I'm already upset with Kalista in general, what with her FORCED oath and her ultimate that is either awesome or terrible. as well as the fact she can do %-based damage at level one that scales with max hp making it very difficult to counter (yeah I don't like vayne for this reason either).

But to address the most troubling aspect of Kalista, her passive Martial poise, all that is required is disable her passive whenever she is effected by some form of crowd control (kind of like how Miss Fortune's passive works); this would enable melee to have a chance at catching up with her but only if they gap close to apply a form of CC. A crafty Kalista can still evade CC if they dodge well enough, this allows for a fluid situation where the victory goes either way instead of having Kalista run away with a 99% slow like a demented jackrabbit.

Why don't you just fight Kalista NOT 1v1 as a Melee champ who only has slows. If you stun her, or work with your team at all you can easily beat her. If her passive was actually that big of an issue, then I'm sure much more people would be complaining.

Sorry if I was rude at all. I personally don't think she is much of a problem.

Kalista is much squishier (as far I as I can see) then people think. If you hit her with a hard cc (almost everyone has it these days) or dash to her face for a good set of hits, she will either die or flee.

Maybe it's because people Last patch people didn't know how to play against it, but now they do. Picking a champ who is extremely horrible against another particular champ, doesn't make the one with the advantage automatically OP. Kalista can be countered, and quite easily at that. She can be snared/stunned/suppressed for a free kill. Remember that she is an ADC and that means she is really squishy. If you can CC her, she can't do anything.

Also her mobility can't compete against Assassins who are designed to chase highly-mobile ADC's like her down. Lucian and Kalista and all the Mobile ADC's cannot compete with an Assassin when it comes to a chase. Solid assassins have some of the best, if not the best gap closers in the game coupled with extremely high burst damage so that champs like Kalista or Lucian don't even get a chance to respond.

My idea was the speed of the dash is lowered if she is slowed, similar to Yasuo, meaning if she dashes through a wall of Thresh's box, it'll take 5 seconds or so for her dash to go the full distance.

I would prefer it to be activated every other basic attack and on Q use, and if you're slowed you jump less distance.

Her passive needs to be directly affected by her movement speed. The main issue with it is that she is basically immune to slows.

Not at all. Slows destroy her.

Slows dont at all effect her jump range.

Really? That shouldnt be intended.

My mistake.

Her dashes should fully scale of off her movement speed, meaning slows would also effect the dash.

Slows ignore her jumps, and her jump length is increased by attack speed. See a problem there?

I believe Riot didn't do this because it would make it unpredictable. You'd suddenly rocket off across the map just because Zilean sped you up, etc.

Ah yes the Karthus with Rylai and now your passive doesn't work anymore.

Also you get hit with cc in mid-attack and the dodge you were expecting doesn't happen and you die, which is something you have no counterplay against.

Also 42.38% winrate in solo queue and you're not a professional player so this looks like you're trying to get a free loss champion nerfed just because she dumps on you. What's next, nerfing Veigar because he bones the enemy AP (only)?

Considering that Martial Poise requires you to prioritize building Attack Speed over damage, I don't see the problem here. If you want to maximize your dash ability, you have to sacrifice early trading potential. Once the full-build late game arrives, you must take into account the fact that Kalista is basically working with 2 combat abilities, compared to 4 for most other champs. Without her soul-bonded support in tow, her W and R do nothing to help you in a chase situation. The dash is the ONLY thing she can rely on.
