Something i want to address about Support income item changes...

Is the actual gold income. Not the stats, just the income.

Presently, over the course of a good game, players can spend 850 gold to upgrade once (or more for tank users because the stats on FotM are actually great), and gain reliable income throughout all of the game, sometimes over 2k gold. The gold earned increases steadily and has a feelgood effect as we see the "value" of the item go up.

Now, we only spend 400 gold, but only regain 1000 through the quest and a minimal amount as passive income. That means no matter how well or how bad someone plays, once they hit that cap, they can only wait as their opponent catches up. That feelgood effect is gone, and to boot it feels like our already generally subpar income grinds to a hard stop after it's complete.

Not to mention the harsh anti-poaching rule that legit makes it feel terrible for us to catch a wave when our allies are all away.

I for one intend to sell that item as soon as possible and just make liberal use of my ward trinket. Or go back to playing Sona midlane. Maybe by midseason Riot will address this, who knows.

Anyway, as a supp main, I highly dislike those changes. What about y'all?

The anti-poaching rule isn't nearly as harsh as you think. You need to be farming more than 30% of all minions in a lane to hit the cap.

It's also based on game time. If you farm zero minions for the first ten minutes, you're free to catch 40 CS before you start getting a penalty. That's a bit more than 6 whole waves.

The new anti-poaching rules are actually far more lenient.

Every support gets 1000 extra gold and then your gold generation goes completely flatline. It is very unattractive game design. And to compensate, we get 6 extra gold a minute. 10 minutes of gameplay, and you don't even have enough extra gold income to buy a vision ward. The only thing that makes sense to play now are hook champions, because that is the only way to stay relevant throughout the game. Using a relic shield over a spell-thief makes you hit that poaching limit way sooner, too.

the items still give the passive gold through out ?

the amount of passive gold on tier 3 is 3 gold per 10 which is currently better then what the current items give passively.

I'm pretty hyped. Gold gen is way up early and the slightly higher GP10 on the final form makes up for the lack of active gold generation late game when you can't really spare much attention to procing it anyway. In my opinion anyway. We'll see how it works out.
