Are we ever going to see the Dark Star game mode make a return?

Riot has slowed down on RGMs over the last year or so to create new modes, which I respect. However, now the few occasions we get an RGM it seems like it's always URF. Now, if you like URF that's cool but I never really cared for any incarnation of that mode and it's annoying that URF is treated as gold. Recently I've been having a craving for corralling lesser Threshes and throwing them in a black hole.

Basically my three favorite game modes PROJECT, Dark Star, and Snowdown Showdown seemed doomed never to return. PROJECT at least has an ongoing and very popular skin line so maybe there's hope, but Dark Star is a distant memory and Showdown is basically confirmed to be dead forever after the cancellation of Magma Chamber.

Unlike URF which is SR with CDR or Nexus Blitz which is SR with minigames, these modes were still semi competitive with entirely new strategies. True 1v1s that ended fast? Great. ADCs prowling the map for objectives while nuking each other? Awesome. And the titular game mode that tested reaction time as you tried to grab another Thresh or save your teammate from being thrown into a black hole was a giant meme that I loved.

Basically I'm just asking Riot to give us temporary modes every now and again that aren't tied to any particular event, and not named URF. New modes that come with skin lines are awesome and come with great quests, but they never return which is disappointing.
