@Riots what is the point to have toplane in this game?

Tanks are pretty much useful in jungle (depends but still). Sometimes we have a lot of ranged picks there that belong to botlane/midlane/jungle Quinn Kennen Swain Kayle Fizz The game feels so unfair to me when I take someone like Shen Garen DariusNasus just to meet there Velkoz Taliyah Vayne Quinn. This is ok to have ranged matchups as melee BUT why are midlane/adc champions are allowed to be played pretty much stable mode against toplaners? Meanwhile try to take any of these toplaners to go botlane/mid or hell even jungle. This will be disaster for you. I'm not even talking about situation when botlane take early fb and then laneswap to ruin ur day or they simply laneswap from the beginning. This is just wrong.

the reason we have a top lane... is because there is a top lane

Ye we have it in fact but for some reason there is no stable pick there. For example you always want to go botlane adc-supp thing and ranged ap mage midlane or at least assassin to get rid of this ap range mage. But toplane? Nah. There's no stable way to play it. People lane swap people pick here anything they want depends on matchup. Yet you can't take some champs from toplane at bot/jungle/mid.

So the melee champions that can't jungle well have a place to farm up.

That's about it imo.

If it's a lane swap your bot lane should have the same "advantage" theirs does.

If it's just a solo ranged champ top you just have to play the lane safe, farm up, then stomp their asses later when they have a weak frontline because they have an adc top.

Other champions being able to bully classic top laners is not a problem with classic top laners, but a problem with poor play from players of classic top Lane champions and their junglers.

There's a reason the meta almost always favors beefy melee top Lane champions in that role. It works better with a team. They're capable of surviving a gank alone in a long Lane. They're capable of disrupting an enemy's early attempt at Baron/rift Herald long enough for allies to get there. Etc... a good team comp has a beefy front line, and support/jungle doesn't normally cut it (at times they might though, and this is when the top meta changes the most).

Your mages/Marksmen top will bully you early, but if you don't feed at levels 1-3 ish (maybe up to 5) you'll quickly outscale until around level 16. Add in that they're very easy to gank and will tend to push the lane when they try to poke you - and the lane should be relatively easy. Just don't give them a free lead by trying to walk up to them at level 1 and letting them kite you for 3/4 of your health.
