Question on Sona's Ult Cost @Fearless

A while back, a great deal many mana-based champions had their ultimate costs standardized to 100, yet Sona 's Crescendo still scales up to 200 at Rank 3. Was there a specific reason behind maintaining this increasing cost? Was it discussed during her rework?

This isn't so much a complaint as it is an inquiry: I'm a huge fan of her rework (building even a little bit of AP on her is massively satisfying, plus it makes her hit like a truck), and while I'm sad to see her Q Power Chord damage getting nerfed on the PBE (it's gone to 40% increased damage, down from 50%), it's understandable that she might be poking a little too hard right now. However, unless Sona's ult is being deliberately kept at an above-average cost at latter ranks, I think it would be nice to have Crescendo's mana cost standardized to 100.

It should be obvious that Riot blatantly hates Sona. Leona had her ult standardized at 100 mana well over a year ago. On the other hand, Sona has suffered over a dozen nerfs in the past 24 weeks alone. Including, but not limited to reducing Staccato from 100% down to 40%.

The "rework" was a thinly veiled set of nerfs. They've even been making secret nerfs to Sona, her 2 range nerfs on Hymn come most prevalently to mind. She probably has other secret nerfs players haven't noticed yet. Yet people keep playing her in this disrespectfully weakened state despite Riot trying to remove her from the game. Until Sona reaches a 0% pick rate and Riot is allowed to literally delete her code from League, they won't stop unjustifiably nerfing her every other patch.
