So im new to league and im at bronze 1 right now and im excited to get the silver border. but then someone told me that i can only get new loading screen borders based on the rank i was last season. however even if that was the case i was s5 last season so how does it work?
Dehitay1 votesYou probly got silver in preseason which is an annoying period of time where playing ranked means nothing but affecting your MMR (which ironically makes it harder to get a good rank next season). I think the actual season 5 ended up October.
colesy1 votesidk, i finished season 5 plat 3, got dia 4 in preseason then went 6-4 and got plat 2 after placements this year, lol.
Faie1 votesAt the end of each season, which is around October/November, whichever rank you are grants you the border for the following year. This border will show up in Normal and Ranked games. So if you get to Silver soon, and you stay in Silver for the rest of the season, you'll get the border after it ends. It's an end-of-season reward.
