Sylas doesn´t need a heal and a shield, change my mind.

Especially when Diana, also an AP Fighter, has just a shield, not as much CC and functions just fine.

Diana's base stats outside of her MR are higher than his. Not to mention, Diana's damage is all upfront burst, for Sylas to be remotely useful he has to be in a drawn out fight.

Diana is played as a diving assassin, not a fighter.

Sylas has trash winrates (45% sometimes even lower) across all regions and elos. Change my mind

Shield yes. Heal maybe but drastically lower. Like 20-30% of his HP even if he builds glass cannon. He should not build bruiser and still heal 70% of his max health every 4 seconds

I threw a fit about Sylas when he first came out and he was against me top and I was Chogath, I was livid he got to keep his devour stacks like I do. Then I played him a few times, did well, did bad and come to find out he's made of paper. If he engages on you he has no way to escape unless your he has a stolen ult that lets him. He's like an assassin without the ability to disengage from a shit situation and most, ifnot all of his damage is easily avoidable.

Riot is moving more-and-more into an overdesigning philosophy.

Riot has talked about how champions need clearly defined openings, strengths, and weaknesses several times over the past years.

Just like how tech giants talks about respecting their customers' privacy and running an ethical business after a big scandal, they always fail to live up to their promises.

If Sylas doesn't have several tacked-on features, then he will not ever be able to compete with the monsters Riot will be releasing after their 'let's actually do some healthy designs' attitude wears off yet again.
