It really is! Lee really needs a VU, if not a VGU. His quotes need expansion, his model is disturbing, his spells don't look great, his lore is outdated af, and his gameplay isnt particularly the best designed.

I'm assuming he'll get more VO lines the same way Lux did when she received her ultimate. If so, we'll get more lines early next month after skin release.

Also, he did get a Color story, so...they're working on it?

Late quote is late, but no. It is not confirmed. What is confirmed is that Riot is looking into doing possible VO updates just to give champs more to say, so their personalities could be more well reflected.

And while they did Lux for the update, they had the Voice actor to do lines for her ultimate. Which means, the VA was also able to add VO to regular Lux.

They can do the same thing for Lee Sin. Since they were able to have an actor there to do lines for his skin, it is possible they chose this as the opportunity to do more lines for classic Lee.

He definitely needs his animations to be changed. His walk cycle looks like he is drunk and fumbling around as he flails his arms and is tilted forward looking like he is going to tip over at any second.

And his auto attack animation. Omg is it disgusting. It just feels so clumsy to use. And it looks so dumb. And the superior animations on Muay Thai are the reason people use it over all the other skins. That skin is so satisfying to use, it looks so nice, and the way he moves is more realistic.

Riot's a company, and giving a champion a VU costs money. But League is a free game! So all their money made, mostly, is from RP. I bought Final Boss Veigar and Omega Squad Teemo mostly because my favorite champions desperately needed a VO but weren't getting one. I basically bought their VO. Since they each only speak like 2-3 lines normally.

The people who most want a VU will be paying for it by buying this optional skin. The people who don't want it won't buy it and no skin off their nose. Since Lee Sin is so popular, this is one way to do it. Galio wasn't popular at all so releasing a legendary skin for him in place of an update wouldn't really cut it. But since Lee Sin has so many players, this is a way they can give him a VU without using their resources.

That would be fine if Riot already established themselves as a money-grubbing company that doesn't give 2 shits about the appearance of their game. But they didn't do that, so I feel like a "purchaseable VU" is just simply wrong in the case of Udyr. However, Lee Sin is so different, not just in quality, but also in appearance that I feel like it's a real stretch for someone to even bring that up. Udyr's ultimate skin is really just what his base skin SHOULD be because it just captures everything about Udyr perfectly. I don't feel the same about Lee Sin's base because it's honestly not bad, it just needs to be touched up a bit to modern standards while God Fist is a completely different theme like Legendary skins should be.

It's a great looking skin, but you want to report the voiceover for harassment in post game. :/ We don't need players to harass each other when Riot writes it directly into the lines for a skin. It's very hypocritical of Riot to have lines this arrogant and negative/degrading, yet have players be able to be reported for saying the same things themselves.

Why would they do that? The balance team finally got what they wanted again after spending months and months buffing him so slightly it's hardly noticed in-game to the point that he's back to being in ~~his~~ the spotlight...y'know, since he's been out of it for sooo looong...

Now he gets a shiny new skin to influence even more players to play him. They're gonna need a few huge drums of lotion in that office to get through the next few months of spectating games.

LeeSin 8 skins (including God Fist) and a chroma-pack. Ahri 7 skins and a chroma-pack. Janna 7 skins. Lux 6 skins (including Elementalist).

As compared to:

Cassiopeia 4 skins and a chroma-pack. Taric 4 skins. Swain 3 skins.

This is quite disappointing. Especially since a lot more outdated champions got skins for seemingly no reason - such as Debonair Galio when he was still technically on the waiting list.

I feel it. They go by play rate though when making new skins, I believe. That's the business side of it. So, since Lee is probably the highest played champ in the history of the game, he's a huge cash cow. Makes sense.

I find the thread funny, but whats funnier is that the comments on it will inevitably fill with whining about lee sin in general insted of poking fun at some of the toxic "godly outplays lcs lookit me guys" lee players. Like how riot "will never nerf him wah wah they just make him skins" You know, like how they make skins for many other champions. Your thread brought me a chuckle but the true lols are yet to come

He got nerfed so many times already in S7. He's fine. It's a skill based champ, same as Zed, Yasuo, Ahri, Kat. High reward for outplays.

Feed Sin is still a thing, too! :P

I think he's annoying but fine-ish. Skill based champs should definitely have higher ceilings if played right (although lee is very easy to pick up at a basic level and all the rest of the knowledge is just gravy. ) Also that feel when the exact people I thought were funny and paraphrased rather well, in hindsight, with their complaining all downvote my comment about it, classic!

I've found the quotes he has in the skin to be an interesting study, personally. Ionia hasn't had any work from the new writing team yet for me to really study their technique.
