So I decided to do some counting.

And I have decided that I will no longer be participating in leashing for the jungler. I get a jungler gank in less than 1/10th of my games... yea I'm not gonna leash anymore.

Try this: only leash for your jungler once every 10 games. See if that improves your win percentage.

I stopped leashing about 10 games ago, I still have same win rate for last 10 games.

you leashing for your jungler does not equal "they now must gank my lane whenever i want them to"

Exactly, so no reason I need to leash either.

If you're getting ganked that little, its probably your own fault in someway.

Maybe you dont win lane, too pushed, and/or constantly playing a champ with no cc and low damage

What champion falls under no cc and low damage? You have one or the other....

How does eve fall under that? I see her rape people early all the time because of her high damage.

so you put the jungler even farther behind decreasing your chance of a gank even more

So I decrease my chance of a leash even more hmmm, interesting, didn't realize I needed a leash as morde.

How many of those games did you win? You don't help the JG so he is your personal gank machine, you help the JG so he has a better clear and can help push your team to victory.

I play top and i think you should stop fudging your numbers. Hell we even play the same champ. We both know, its much lower than that

^^ This, they completely avoid helping morde in any way. I play him botlane, so they even refuse to help take dragon... that is unless its a fire, because "fire is the only dragon that matters"

just because you leashed dosent immediately give YOU the right to have him at your beck and call. sure, a gank or two in exchange is nice, but remember, hes there for the TEAM, not any one person

plus, look at it from a junglers stance:

if your already ahead, hes not gonna waste his time there, the opponent is gonna be playing way too passively for anything other then a TD to work

if your getting ROFLSTOMPED then why would he waste his time? he could spend that time snowballing an even lane to get another laner fed, whereas if he ganks yours, all he does is lower the deficit

Lets look at it from my standpoint. I play Morde bot lane which is one of two modes.

  1. under my tower because I don't want to take unnecessary damage in trying to cs/get fucked up by an enemy jungle.
  2. under their tower because they are really bad.

*1 *makes for easy ganks *2 *makes for easy dragons

Of which in those games my jungler did neither.

As far as leashing doesn't require a jungler to gank, if he isn't required to gank, I'm not required to leash.

  1. means you probably cant assist for the gank because of low hp, therefore low chance of success

2)again, playing much too safe, (maybe even a counter gank), and if theyre competent they would expect the dive and therefore back off further.

and yes, your correct, your not required to leash, all were saying is you SHOULD because not doing it will set your jg even further behind, which means he ganks no one cause he has to farm to make up for lost time

I think leashing for the jungler is definitely helpful but you need to make sure you return to lane fast enough so that you don't lose out on XP.

If your jungler is a pre-6 ganking jungler, it sets them ahead (clearing time wise) and lets people help their laners. If you have a 6 and after ganker, then it doesn't really help all that much IMO.

But, it builds a sense of teamwork with your jungle early on so what't the harm in giving a few auto attacks to help them? Ultimately the cooperation and teamwork of your jungler is totally worth a few seconds of AA's and getting back to your lane and not missing CS (Emphasis on not missing CS. Don't overstay in the jungle).

I don't really care if my junglers ever gank for me. I'm usually happier when they just leave me alone and make sure to counterjungle the enemy if their jungler is ganking me. That's a lot harder for them to do if they don't get a leash.

Also, leashes cost you no cs so why bother skipping it just so you can stand around in a bush for an extra 20 seconds?

It does cost you cs when you are morde bot and your support overstays making you miss the first 3.

Quepha1 votes

How does your support overstaying have anything to do with your decisions?

GigglesO1 votes

because you can't just cs 2v1 in lane...

Quepha1 votes

and if you chose not to leash while your support leashed they would magically leash faster instead of slower?

Mysticman891 votes

If my adc isn't leashing, then I'll probably feel compelled to give an extra long leash to the jungler (as support) so they don't end up behind, meaning your failure to leash will result in an even longer 1v2 situation, so you may as well leash.

The jungler can influence every lane and potentially snowball someone who is good (even if they may not be good themselves), while my faith in the adc knowing how to snowball the game and win is already diminished when I see them not leashing.

No you don't I actually asked a janna support to leave lane and let me 2v1. she afk'd for 10 minutes and I won lane without her.

Backstory she gave first blood and then blamed me for her overstay. We won the game with her 5 levels under everyone else. I didn't leash for the jungle that game either.

How are you in Diamond?????

GigglesO1 votes

because you don't need junglers to win games for you

BeatzBoyFTW1 votes

You must have lost lane in a lot of games to be blaming your jungler for not ganking.
