How to fix no farm support item top laners the right way

Make it so the quest can not be completed unless someone is near you....Give it the changes that are coming in the next patch, but the moment it's quest is complete it goes back to normal, this way the top laner can't abuse it unless his jungler lives top lane for 2000 years. This way no gold is generated top lane with the item and the support gets to play normally without too much fear of the item changes, just needing their quest completed since most of the early game you are attached to the hip to your ADC anyway unless roaming.

The overall change and thought by Riot is okay, but it shouldn't be something that lasts all game long. Supports should be allowed to make their gold once their quest is complete without someone sitting next to them... This fix is just to make top laners stop using it.

Should be a better band-aid fix than what is currently live in my opinion.

Changes already live. If you're always near your team and recall when they do, its a buff anyway. If less than 10% of your time in lane is solo its neutral.

It's a very wonky band-aid fix that definitely needs tweaked regardless. It's not something that should last for the entire game, just long enough so top laners can't use it.

I would also like the Relic shield line to be made it so you can pop charges with no one nearby. Sure you lose the bonus gold, but there are so many times I'm FURTHER screwed by a bad ADC because they are never there (busy playing grey screen simulator). Or I make a roam, and mid lane has 0 idea (much like every non support really) what Relic shield is and why you should wait 1/10th of a second to let the support get it, so I feel punished towards my sightstone by making a roaming play.

It'll at least make it so you can progress your to your Sightstone.

Probably a fair enough compromise. It still enforces the changes without removing the rewards from actually interacting with the enemy post laning phase.
