Losing Ridiculous Amounts of LP, why!?

So my MMR is still roughly average for my ELO, and I'm typically playing against an average higher rank then mine and my teams, and yet everytime I lose I suffer a loss of 20-21 LP..... how is this even REMOTELY FAIR!?

Like seriously, Riot, wtf is this utter BS!? I'm Silver 3 now cause your placement system completely screwed me over for no good reason at all and even though I win more then half my games I'm still steadily deranking cause of this nonsense! I can't even DuoQ with my friends anymore cause they don't have this issue, so even though we were all about the same rank at the start of the season and we've won and lost the same games they've now made it to plat or got to gold and stopped playing ranked in fear of being forced back to silver (cause honestly some of them do not deserve gold and I was the one who carried them there, through much hardship I might add). But playing on my own hasn't fixed this 20 per loss shit!

So why is it, that even though I play against higher ranks and do not have a wonky MMR, I get completely screwed everytime I lose, like I can go 9/5/12 in a match where my team just feeds and never listens to me, so we end up losing and I still lose 20-21 LP..... Riot there is not a single shred of fairness even remotely evident in this.

For gods sake I played 8 out of my 10 placements with and against diamonds while duo'd with another gold friend of mine (as in the other 3 members of our team were diamonds and at least 3 on the enemy team were as well, not even slightly joking), and even though he fed every game but one and I carried us (NOT THE DIAMONDS! No, that was too much to ask, I the at-the-time Gold rank had to carry the matches, the difference was the diamonds would actually listen to my pings and use their wards so we could force advantages, something too complicated for my current silver teammates), and we BOTH came out of it with a 5-5 win-lose ratio, he ranked up a rank, from SIlver 1 to Gold 5, and I deranked FOUR ranks, Gold 4 to Silver 2..... WTF IS GOING ON WITH MY ACCOUNT RIOT!?!??! NOTHING MAKES SENSE! There is absolutely no way in hell to put all the things that have been happening to me in any sort of understandable explanation!

I have the by far best KDA out of my 9 friends who play this game with me frequently and I typically carry us through our ranked team games, if not hard carry I at least have NEVER fed and always been relevant, but even with me duo Qing with these same friends I am now the lowest ranked out of everyone.

Also on our ranked 3s team we have 3 times now played against a Master tier team with master tier soloQ players, and we managed to beat one of them..... and I'm a freakin Silver 3 cause of this BS.....

RIOT JUST EXPLAIN ANYTHING TO ME AT ALL ABOUT WHY I'M COMPLETELY AND UTTERLY BEING SCREWED THE F OVER!?

I'm not diamond quality, I know that, but I regularly out perform plats, I play on some of my friends accounts that are plat and I rank them up for my friends using the same champs I do on the account. I have a good kda and win rate on those accounts as well, and would honestly try to see if I could get to diamond if I didn't want to force my friends even further away from my own account and the possibility of playing with them.

I only used the examples of those higher ranked opponents to show that I'm not some joke higher then I should be already, I have no delusions that I should be master or even diamond, it's just a fact that I perform well at a plat-ish lvl of play. Honestly I perform better at that level cause my teams actually listen to my pings and they don't all automatically default to "group as 5 push mid" no matter what comp we're running and whether we're ahead or behind like all my silver teams like to do.

Honestly, people with this jock mentality need to be executed in the streets with a bullet to the head.

Oversimplifying the argument is not going to remove the fact that there's a problem.

Just because a pro said 4 seasons ago 'Dunning-Krueger applies to everyone in normals, unwinnable games exist, you are the common denominator of all your matches, and you should expect to grind out literally thousands of games a season to get to the top' is not going to absolve the matchmaking of responsibility in any MOBA.

The edge cases where people are gaining MMR/LP too quickly, or losing it too quickly, are both problematic and virtually invisible.

The only problem here, outside of your unwarranted blood lust, is that OP thinks he cant climb to gold, but is able to carry his friends to plat+gold without he himself climbing. I looked at his match history, and for the games available he does tend to have a high KDA, but for the duration of the games in many of the games his farm could be a lot better. When you look at the detailed information to see who had dragon control you notice that even though OP is the jungler the enemy team tends to have more drakes. The fact is that this player thinks he is better than he honestly is, and that reflects just by the way he tries to diminish his "friends" accomplishments in ranked. Writing out an entire paragraph to explain WHY he isn't as good as he thinks is a courtesy I did not feel he deserved at the time of my posting.

Seriously though, thoughts of having people shot in the streets over their way or processing things is NOT healthy. Seek help.

Hard to have control of Dragon when your bot lane is feeding, which they do in nearly every game, cause every lane does nearly everytime.

And I got 3 friends to gold from duoQing and one got into plat solely with my help, one was even silver 5, and made it to gold from 100% duoQing with me and I went from silver 3 to not even in promotionals for gold when he got his, and we literally won and lost all of the same games. And like I said I have ranked up their plat accounts on my own to prove a point to them, I would attempt to get them into diamond if it didn't mean they'd just end up being further from my main account which means even less likely hood of getting to Q with them again.

Again it's just a fact that I perform well at a plat level of play since I do it on a regular basis.

Also I said 2 of the ones in gold who stopped playing ranked from fear of being deranked into silver are the ones who didn't earn it, I did for them, I never said ALL of my friends don't deserve their ranks. I rarely duoQed with a couple of my plat friends, I have however played on their accounts and ranked them up for them to prove a point. That fact will not change.

But yes that kids response was quite over the top, I'll never understand why some people think overly dramatic or violent comments will have any sort of effect on people over the internet.

That really doesn't change the validity of my comments at all though. There are people with diamond level mechanics sitting in bronze because they do not understand objective control. If your botlane is feeding every game maybe you might want to consider either

  1. Going bot yourself

  2. Starting topside and rotating yourself down bot to gank them first.

Sometimes just coming to a lane 2-3 times in a short period of time is enough to make the enemy laners afraid to engage on your feeders.

Bottom line is once you focus on your own gameplay and correct your mistakes, you'll climb.

you can not prove this. Out side trackers are not accurate.

I understand they've never been 100% accurate, but they at least have to be able to give you a general estimate, there's no way Riot is using some completely unknown algorithm that nothing at all can even come close to.

It's at least been accurate for my friends with higher then average MMRs who rank up extremely fast. Why would it be so different for me?

I feel your pain. Through most of my ranked games I played pretty well, sometimes got fed, but my team wouldn't listen and they fed and I would lose. I lost 20 or more points almost every loss too, and I started in Bronze 2 after losing 7 out of 10 placements. I am now in Bronze 5, and can't get out. Thanks a whole fucking lot Riot.

Just to prove my case to my friends I have played on several of their accounts, plat 5 and two plat 3s, and I ranked the plat 5 to plat 4 and one of the plat 3s to plat 2. All while my friends leveled their smurfs, so I know it was all me.

Yet on this account I'm still stuck in silver 3..... literally makes no sense at all.....
