I bought 2 rp codes from GameStop today. Neither of them work, I am getting an error saying the code is incorrect. I phoned up the store I bought them from, the codes were properly activated and this is 100% on Riot's end. I quote, "I've never seen anything like this in years". Fucking mega mind company. This isn't just me because another player from England told me that they were having the exact same issue. So if you are in EUW, DO NOT I repeat DO. NOT. BUY PREPAID RP CODES. THEY DO NOT WORK. Just buy RP from the client, who fucking knows how long it'll take riot to fix this, honestly probably not long since it's losing them profit. Gotta sell those lux skins. Honestly fuck this company, can't do a single thing right. Shit balancing, shit reworks, can't even keep a client or their biggest server running for more than a month at a time, what an absolute joke. The design and music teams are the ones carrying it for dear rito. They better fix up, this is highly unprofessional from a multi billion dollar company.

Do you have any other examples of this happening? I googled it and searched through the EU boards and I didn't find anything recent. Are you sure it's not just one, temporary issue? Did you file a support ticket?

Too many questions left unanswered and your post is incredibly nonconstructive.

Well yeah. I got info that it isn't just me, another player not in the same country as me, on EUW, was having trouble with this exact same issue, so that's enough for me to make this post. The reason you are't seeing any of it on the boards is this is a recent issue that's started in the last week or 2 from what I know (I know the gamestop employees well, they were talking about the cards having trouble getting activated at the till) and most league players don't buy rp gift cards as their primary way of getting rp, they just buy it in the client.

Yes I've filed a support ticket but no answer.

  • Do you have any other examples of this happening?

  • Did you file a support ticket?

  • Is it one, temporary issue? [that Riot is already aware of]

Oh wait, no I didn't. Because I don't have access to that information and/or might have missed something while researching.

If you did not find any other online examples after searching through the worlds largest search engine, and also scanning through the boards directly (about League of legends) then it's pretty clear you answered two of the ''unanswered questions''. As for the one about the support ticket, all you had to do was ask him, then wallah, you'd have gotten your answer.

You know, it is possible to miss things and there are a lot more results on the Boards/Google that I didn't even see. I spent about 30 odd seconds skimming the front pages of those websites, that's not going to give me an immediate, definitive answer.

You did nothing but tell him he hasn't answered those questions and that his post was ''nonconstructive''. How about some empathy, some compassion, and some respect for a guy who is in a situation that would anger anyone who hasn't just got money to burn.

People burn money nowadays when they don't have money to burn and then blame people other than themselves for not having money, so honestly anyone would be angry.

OP answered two of your questions in the original post. Someone else in EU that they talked to have the same issue, so that's another example of this happening. It's not ONE temporary issue, because it happened to TWO different prepaid cards(Just because it's the same person doesn't mean anything, as the cards themselves are not tied to each other). Perhaps you should have done a bit more searching into the actual post for your questions. OP basically mentioned at least 3 situations in which this has happened. Their two cards, and someone else's. I don't think calling someone's post unconstructive when they're warning people that they will probably not get the RP on those cards is a good look tbh. You can be upset that someone is upset, although I don't understand why as their reasonings for being upset are justifiable, but you shouldn't treat them as if their post is completely unnecessary when it totally is, and claim they gave you no information when two of your three questions were answered in the original post.

Firstly, you need to learn what the word ''hypocrite'' means

In your case, when the OP makes nonconstructive comments in the post, your standard is "you have every right" because you agree with him. When someone who you disagree with does the same, your standard does a complete 180. That is why you are a hypocrite.

You also seem to be a bit slow in the head so I will break this down very simply. You claim he has the right to make these comments. However, you **do not **have the rights to do whatever you want on this board. There are rules you must abide by. One of those is that rants do not belong here in Gameplay. They go on the rant board. You admit this is a rant, so therefore you admit it has zero right being here. Even the main subject of the thread literally has absolutely zero to do with Gameplay. So you agree that your original point is wrong. That's about as much as I can dumb it down so please read very slowly and attempt to understand.

Is the error message actually "The code is incorrect?" If so, you can likely return the card to Gamestop.

I have seen this happen to literally every single company that has prepaid cards. It doesn't matter who they are. It usually is that the card wasn't activated properly. Anyways calling to the store you bought it from would accomplish nothing since they will always tell you to call the phone behind the card. Stores aren't allowed to refund prepaid cards so if any store does it they are breaking the law and could be fined or worst.
