Riot needs to do something about this.

I queued support. We get into champ select. Then suddenly, the jungler types, "I'm supp btw", and insta-locks Lux. The adc says "we're premade", a simply horrible excuse to stealing somebody's role, and I'm left with three choices; stay adamant and go support anyway, resulting in a certain loss, dodge, give this Lux what she wants, and lose lp (plus waste my friend's time since I was duoing), or play jungle and perhaps win.

I just took the L and played the jungle came. Quite fortunately, I play jungle pretty often. So even though I was reluctant, it wasn't much of a problem for me to take the role. However, if this had happened to some poor support main who's never played a game of jungle in their life, it would've been a tragic game. It truly does feel like you're being conned out of your role - which you more or less are.

(If you were wondering, we did win the game. I went 6/0 or so, botlane lost, lux was just trashtalking all game.)

Something does need to be done about this. I am certain that this Lux will face absolutely zero punishment for her actions, and each and every time she gets autofilled, she will do it again, and again, until at one point, she'll force someone who never plays jungle into the role and spell disaster for her team.

I don't even know how she manages to be autofilled as a support main, considering it gives you autofill protection.

I reported her after the game for griefing and unsportsmanlike behavior. Will she be punished? No. Even if I sent a support ticket in nothing would happen. It is BLATANT griefing and trolling, yet because it only happened in champion select, her K/DA, build, and all of that were relatively normal, she won't be punished.

And yet, had I lost my temper at her and told her off in chat, I would've been the one facing penalities.

Isn't that odd?

The people defending the Lux and blaming him are probably people that do this same shit. He literally was just trying to play the role he queued for and got griefed lol. His only option was to dodge or play jungle.

Make sure to report both of them not just one you can still report Siv using a ticket, should they proceed to do that and more people report them for it. It will catch on and they will be punished. Who knows they might have already received a chat restriction or something for it.

Because role trading is a thing. You were complicit in it when you willingly took jungle giving up your role of support. They could've still chosen to go jungle between the time they picked and the end of the lobby. Yet you took that choice away from them by stealing their assigned role back.

What can you do? Force them to steal it in game. It isn't stealing until they steal your assigned role in game. Period. Riot is not going to do away with role trading simply so you can feel better about getting people punished for what "may have happened" in game had you not taken jungle for them.

ah, the "normal blind" champion select method

Yeah, thats fucked up. I wouldve, in typical "okay lets watch the world burn together" fashion, stayed support and just not said a word the whole game while supporting the adc with an extra support lol. Probably wouldve lost. Oh well. Id report and move on. For those who bite the bullet for the greater good (good on you, btw), there needs to be some sort of consolation or comfort. Comfort in knowing that this is not allowed. I hope you reported the lux. I agree that she PROBABLY wont be punished, but I really hope she does, because thats not okay. So yes, I agree. I hope Riot does something about that.

However, I dont know why you find it odd that if you flamed her, you would be punished. Thats not odd at all. Breaking the rules results in punishments. Youve already outlined why lux may get away with it. So you should also recognize why someone flaming wouldnt get away with it. Its not odd, its just easy to identify chat offenses. And someone else breaking the rules first, should never permit others to break the rules in response.

When someone does this and you honestly care enough or really don't want to trade roles, then just play your role. If they don't switch sums at the last second and actually steal your role, you can report them. You might still win the game anyway but you now have them actively trolling you. Otherwise it's not reportable cause you're agreeing to switch with them in champ select in order to "avoid a loss". Most of the time people who do this dodge at the last second anyway but if they go through with it don't play the chicken game with them and let them do what they're gonna do.

I can't understand how people are legitimately trying to justify that Lux's actions. I'd be willing to bet these same people would rage or feed if it happened to them.

I'm personally with the watch the world burn people. Lock Veigar "support" and nuke all the farm you can, shouldn't hit the poaching cap because the Lux and her buddy would both have to go for what they could get to counteract you, only response if they complained in chat is I was assigned support and must follow orders. Games full of pro trolls, but I'm a pro asshole.

Stuff like this is gonna keep happening until riot makes jungle worth playing again.

i woulda gone full nubrac and go join them bot lane as teemo with ignite with 3 bot lane and deny the enemy adc farm ;) omg new meta 3 bot lane get my riot friend to ban the haters that'll teach them from autolocking lux support

They could add an official role swap system which would function like champion trading does in ARAM. If someone stole your role you would just go to your assigned lane, play out the game and the role stealer would receive an instant griefing ban after the game.
