Riot blame everything but themselves...

More and more people are abandoning this game...

But Riot want to blame their revenue drop on Fornite and not on the dismal state of the game that they created. What is it with game developers these days. Are they such snowflakes that they need to hide or deflect criticism rather then actually admitting that they made a mistake. Damage control seems to be a regular thing in the entertainment industry.

Unfortunately, most of the developers are from my generation (30+ millennial) and because of insufficient parental discipline, lack of school discipline and lack of respect for others have grown up to be Starbuck's sipping entitled snowflakes who cannot take any criticism. I'm ashamed to be part of that generation. To busy making "progressive" gestures to actually focus on the reason why their game is in decline.

Riot are showing themselves to be just as in denial as Blizzard were over the whole Warcraft III fiasco. Sadly... China has corrupted both of these developers that used to have integrity and pride in their work.

Its a stones throw away from Riot saying "Its not made for you" to deflect criticism while their stock continues to come tumbling down. Arrogance doesn't sell a game... good game development, listening to your community and improving your situation does... but I guess that's hard work.

Who cares at this point? Riot clearly showed us that they don't give a shit what community thinks.

I mean, boards are being removed, in favor of circlejerking, e-sport addicted, basement dwelling idiots at reddit.

I really wish Riot was forced to show player numbers and statistics like steam.

Accurate numbers of things like the percent of accounts that have been suspended/banned, the total numbers of active players, etc...

We have no way to tell and the fact they have refused to show actual player numbers and other statistics prove that something is wrong, that something is worth hiding. Sometimes they will come out with some numbers to purposely mislead people.

For example the Lipitor heart attack reduction by 36%.

TL;DR Lipitor, the cholesterol lowering drug, claimed to reduce heart attacks by 36% and they profited a ton off of this, but in reality it was only around 1.1% of a reduction.

"In the Jupiter trial, the public and healthcare workers were informed of a 54 percent reduction in heart attacks, when the actual effect in reduction of coronary events was less than 1 percentage point," said Ravnskov and Diamond, who is also a Career Research Scientist with the Medical Research Service at the James A. Haley Veterans Hospital in Tampa, Florida. "In the ASCOT-LLA study, which was terminated early because it was considered to have such outstanding results, there were heart attacks and deaths in 3% of the placebo (no treatment) group as compared to 1.9% in the Lipitor group. The improvement in outcome with Lipitor treatment was only 1.1 percentage point, but when this study was presented to the public, the advertisements used the inflated (relative risk) statistic, which transformed the 1.1% effect into a 36% reduction in heart attack risk." - Link to quote

Many companies/public entities do this and most of the general public will never know.

0.003% of accounts being perma banned could be:

0.003% of NA accounts from all total accounts in the world, including accounts that never even made it to level 30 due to players quitting or forgetting about them.

We will never know and I am 100% sure unless Riot are forced to comply and show them, we will never know and will only get extremely skewed results to try and show that things are all okay to trick players into thinking the company isn't on fire.

Riot became corporate when joining in with Tencent. You have a out source of income from a investing company so no need to listen to the fanbase anymore.

Blizzard is steadily dying off. League will still be getting views until something else can beat it. Turning players into payers with eternals and that pass for TFT would net them money because blind supporters are blind. Bleeding players from NA because of the NA community xP

Indeed, they've been pretending everything "was fine" at least since S8 and the "new runes".

And this is how their game is gone, and how it's still getting worse and worse. Happens, when you are so competent and don't take your own responsibilities.

For those idiots who claim that Fortnite stole public from lol I give some numbers.

PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds 227 million active players in June 2018. Playerunknown's Battlegrounds currently clock in around 900k concurrents on Steam on average and has hit a little over 3 million on a good day in 2020.

So it is clear that Fortnite collected his public from PUBG, not Lol.

Yes, with disgustingly conformist NPC communities like the starcraft one, full of delusional morons who want to tell themselves that it must be your fault if you lost and never balance

If you check number of ranked games on Statistic-sites you can see that number of games are INCREASING not decreasing in the last 10 Months.

This makes sense since Fortnite numbers are decreasing and people comming back to LoL.

Honestly I don't care. I only want the game to be better but for now it is a shitshow because they buff more champions than they nerf and they should be nerfing the shit out of some champions. There should be at least 12 nerfs each patch but they are doing 6 for some reason. I want nerfs for champions on all lanes.

Do you know why jungle is so shit? Because if you play meta then it is the best role in the game but if you don't then you don't exist and have 0 influence on the game. You are literally forced to play those 6 meta champions if you want to win. Doesn't help that jungle has such a tiny champion pool. Other lanes can get champions from each other, so even soraka can be played top but jungle is different and I would really want riot to consider changes to the jungle item.
