To ADCs who go "Don't fight I just want to farm"

Don't pick Cait.

Yes, she is good in lane. That's what she exists to do. Her strategic role is to win lane, shut down the enemy adc, and then snowball the game before the enemy adc gets caught up. If she doesn't get to do any of that, she's ends up the weakest adc in the game (or in the meta at least, since I'm sure someone is going to remind me that Urgot exists). She's still an adc, but every other adc does her job better outside of lane phase.

Play Tristana instead. She is an absolute god once you get your farm, and she can self-peel so you won't have to lose games just because your teammates don't know what peeling is. If all you want to do in lane is farm, practise with Tris until you can go even in lane with her. It's a bit harder than Cait, but it's totally worth it later.

Caits who don't even try to poke are putting themselves at a huge disadvantage. Either try to win lane, or play a champ that's useful even if you don't win lane.
