why does the "meta" thing exist?

I mean, in each meta some certain champions are getting useless and the useful again..and other champions overpowered , what's the point of that? why the game isn't a standard "meta" which all champions can be useful without "meta" builds etc... ?

META:

Most Efficient Tactics Available

exactly this, the tactics chang constantly, last season was lane swaps, and out-rotating. first turret change is now about collectively fighting )aka team fights)

Because of the diversity of the game. The game is so diverse in its items, abilities, etc, that it will probably never be 100% balanced. The players want to find new advantages so theyre not always just looking for player mistakes, and other similar things. so that is what creates the meta

because . riot.. Also you cannot make both old champs and new champ equally balanced the simpler champs need huge numbers to keep up with the new overloaded busted champs so it will simply make old champs obnoxious to deal with if they have the same power as the new ones. you cant have Garen and Cammile on the same power budget cause Garen even tho lackluster he will become a big ass stat stick that you cant deal with mechanicly.

Because balancing all champions across all possible builds is a literally impossible task, and what is meta is what is most effective at the time.

Because riot doesn't balance the game around gold, some champs have literally three times the gold value in base stats and power, compared to others.

Well

  1. The game itself changes from season to season, things are added, things are removed. Due to this champions get indirect buff and nerfs.

  2. Nerfing a champion down, indirectlybuffs a champion up.

  3. There is no such thing as perfect balance in most games, something will always be strong and something will always be weak, that in itself is balance. Another balance of the world would be good and evil, you need both or there would be neither good nor evil.

  4. Meta stands for Most Efficient Tatic Available. Meaning as different things become unavailable, others will become available.

But hey if you figure out a way to make this game completely balanced, I'd like to know how, because Zed says it best "Balance is a fools game"

I would say to make a game where all champions would be "meta" would be a game with 1 champion and that same champion in every lane. The more champions you make the more chances there are of one being better due to items damage utility. The meta constantly changes. Also there is Counter picks to the meta that then become the next meta. (ex. When everyone was playing tanks top playing someone like trundle or gnar) Diversity creates meta and meta creates counter-meta and counter-meta becomes meta and it cycles in a vicious circle that never ends. Just enjoy the game.

Pretty much every game has a meta. It's just the best current strategy that will give you the highest chance of winning. It's not something you can just get rid of.

"Meta" isn't something that Riot just decides. They make changes, usually in response to a previous change or just as a way to spice things up (Elemental dragons, jungle plants, etc), then the best players start playing around with the new changes and develop the meta, which is literally the "Most Efficient Tactics Available". The meta that the players come up with is just the best, most efficient way to win. Often the meta will change even without changes by Riot, as players adapt to what other people are doing.

I mean...With the constant patch balances something HAS to be better than another
