Is there a legitimate way to bury Gangplank?

I can be ahead an item, double his CS, and up 2 kills and he still somehow can 1v1 me once he gets Trinity Force. It makes no sense.

No matter how far ahead of him I seem to get, he always comes back and carries his team against all odds. It's nearly impossible to close out a game against a Gangplank.

Just looking for some advice. I feel at a disadvantage every time he's picked against me.

Dodge the barrels and don't let him Q/barrel you multiple times.

Yea, I do. Doesn't seem to matter. Can't really avoid his Q in an all-in fight.

If it's an all in, you should win. If he's poking you down with multiple Q's over small skirmishes, then you lose. So all in him.

Either ban him or pick a champ that beats him in lane AND scales relatively well into the late game, like riven.

But yeah not a lot else you can do other than hope your team doesnt feed so you can end the game early.

don't get hit by barrels.

In Davey Jones' locker!

Ok I'll see myself out.

It's actually really easy lol, anyone can really beat him in lane, if hes 0-3 and youre double his cs there really isnt anyway he's getting back into the game.

Then explain how he always gets back in the game?

Mind you, he gets like 2 assists from his ultimate, and that's it. No kills, behind in cs.

You let it drag out and don't end it early enough. A champs score doesnt matter if everyone has 5-6 items.

What character are you playing? If I'm up against GP I just play Graves to counter him easy. (He doesn't really like ranged or burst, and graves dashes help get around barrels super easy)

Are you playing a character that is attempting to beat him off of chip damage? One of his strengths is great sustain through his "eat citrus" ability.

Renekton. Like I said, I get super ahead in cs + kills, but it all doesn't matter once he gets tri-force.

Renekton isn't exactly known for scaling super well into the late game. Gangplank on the other hand actually scales well once he upgrades his ultimate and uses the additional gold he gets from hitting CS with his Q.

I don't know enough about Ren to know if he can fight GP well. I'd suggest you just learn a few more characters for counter picking purposes. Like I said Gaves is super good for fighting GP. I also believe Camille is up there.

tentacle porn seems to be a weakness of his.

Kennen... It's as easy as that. A good Kennen can completely shit on a gp only because his kit completely counters a gps kit.

Pick a champion that outscales him if you are suffering to close games with early game champions such as Renekton. I also believe that Trundle beats GP's ass through all stages of the game.

all-in him repeatedly and then end ASAP

MF killed him for a couple of days a lil while back
