Hey guys, so I'm currently Gold 1, trying to get plat before season ends. I picked up akali a few months ago and really like her, but I want to know which lane she plays best. I realize that akali is currently more popular mid, but I can't figure out why. In mid, there are plenty of champs who will bully you insanely hard pre 6, but in top, there are only a few who counter akali - (Renek, Dar, Jax is all I can remember off top of my head). Thanks!

juju adventures1 votesI may try this out some time. I remember seeing it a long time ago, maybe season 4, but never seen it recently. All the akalis that i've seen recently that werent me were either top or mid, mostly mid.
Fondling Gems1 votesLevel like this Q > E > E > W Then max E until you can clear fine, usually 2-4 points in it. After that go back to maxing Q. Be careful because your early burst is a bit lower than normal due to fewer ranks in Q. Rush AP jg item into gunblade.

Swiftstrike41 votesI am Gold I too. I almost never see Akali's top, but I love it when I do, because I play 
and I think they are pretty weak for the most part and easy to counter.
Tanks aren't going to die to her easily and she has a better opportunity to snowball in the mid lane because she can kill the midlaners or the bot laners. In the top lane if she is playing into a tank there isn't much she can do if they build defense.
CC her and drop a pink ward in her pool and she can't really do much to get away. The lane being longer puts her at a disadvantage.
