How competitive is LoL at your rank/elo?

This might be a weird question, but I am curious about the discrepancy between skill (the actual gameplay once you are in SR) and winning at champ select in the different ranks.

There are a lot of definitions for what competitive is, but for this thread I'd like to use the following description: “competitive is when, in theory, every player enters the game with equal chances to win. In practice however, the outcome is decided by the individual skill of each player.

This means that luck, champions and so on are not part of the equation, while individual skill and teamplay are very much important. This definition naturally has some flaws (like counter picking not being part of the equation), but that is not important right now.

I would appreciate if people would post their rank/elo and give a short description of what they think about the competitiveness in their rank.

Competetive is an attitude. You will find it in every elo. Its just like sports in real life, you see little kids in teeball getting just as worked up as major league baseball players sometimes, where as other people are more chilled out. Its just attitude.

That being said I am in bronze, and there are many competive people in bronze. Are they good? Kinda but they tilt easy. See you cant ever enter a game with everyone with equal chance to win, cause not everyone is at the same skill level, sometimes people are better at working together, it is just like sports in real life.

That is one possible way to define competitive, true. But the whole concept rings hollow when the the set up of whatever you are doing is heavily biased towards one side. Hence the definition I added. One might argue that to be competitive, the set up of the game must be competitive as well. That is not the point of this post though ;)
