Can Thresh’s auto attacks please count as melee for Relic Shield?

With the big nerf to Relic ADCs and the removal of the Tier 3 support items, Thresh is not in the best spot right now. Relic Shield is the go-to for tank supports, but its passive halves the damage from ranged autos, including Thresh. Could Thresh autos please count as melee for Relic Shield to reliably proc and restore more HP? Nobody in bot land likes fighting a Thresh for CS because he can’t execute for his Relic Shield passive.

its hard enough to cs as support. Let's change it so Thresh has greater item choice.
