Zoe's E and Fizz's E interaction? Unfair a bit?

Hey so I was wondering this cause of a separate post but is there anything that's going to happen between Zoe's E and Fizz's E unfair interaction? Because I was in a game where I would hit Fizz with my E and when he entered his E soon right after he would end up with a Zhonya's effect for the duration of the sleep and he would still be able to get off the second part of his E onto me as well as wait out the rest of his cooldowns. I can understand if my sleep took him out of that undamaged state when he enters E right after, but come on him being unable to be damaged for 2.3 seconds instead of his normal .75 seconds is not needed.
